A very nice start! I would modify it something like this:

Banana Pudding

Banana Cream - 8 - 12%
Banana Ripe - 2 - 3%
Bavarian Cream - 6
Vanilla Swirl - 5%
Cotton Candy - 5%
Brown Sugar - 2-3%
Vanilla Cupcake - 2%

Keep recipe at 30% or less. Possibly increase vanilla cupcake if you want that flavoring in your pudding. Good luck! :toast:

:2cool: :vapor:

Bill I hate to bother you but you are the go to guy with this one. I have everything but the brown sugar  There is a store that is a hour away one way. What I have that might works are Graham cracker, pie crust, cheesecake or coconut. Would any of these work you think? It would be a small percentage. Or do you think I should make it without the brown sugar?

TOO TRUE! I'm searching for a new signature, since this old one is starting to feel disingenuous... heh. (Problems, you know... .... happening, etc). Maybe I'll quote your wise saying :D

Dugwood, I am not an authority, but I've noticed a lot of people recommend Vaper's Tek nic. They have a liter of a "throat hit" nic on sale for (I think) 45- right now and they also sell some no-diacetyl flavors and pg/vg on their site. People who use VT nic are crazy about it. Their regular nic is priced maybe 15% more than most nics (MFS sale price excluded!) but its devotees are...well, just that. People really love it, say it has zero flavor, and almost no throat hit--if that is what you're looking for.

I went with MFS (the one Bill just recommended) when I made my first "big DIY purchase" recently, because MFS also has a lot of the supplies I needed and I needed to get up to 75- for free shipping at either place. I've heard good things about MFS nic too--or at least never anything bad. But I must say, I am looking forward to trying the VT at some point to see what all the excitement is about :)

Thanks Lirruping. I will absolutely try Vaper Tech's Nic. Feel free as far as the quote goes. I'm sure I didn't come up with it originally. BTW, Where in the world is Viesques? Thanks again and God bless.

I'd try it without brown sugar, and then another batch with maple syrup instead of brown sugar and see which is best.

The throat hit 120ml was $16 WITH shipping, its the cheapest I found and I spent a good 3 months mulling over this before I finally bought everything.. I'd imagine the "regular" nic is only $26.. Still not bad for what you get..

Do the nipples click onto the bottle properly? If so, SKU please! I got some 15ml bottles for mixing from fasttech with this problem.

Thanks!

What in the heck is "Throat Hit" nicotine? And, if for some reason it is not 99.5+% pure nicotine (995+ mg/ml), it is certainly NOT USP. Can someone explain this? I couldn't find anything on their website, though I didn't look too hard. My initial reaction is that here we have another marketing gimmick. USP is a designation based on the purity of an exact chemical formula. Any changes to that formula would make it NOT USP. Beyond that, I don't know a lot about this.

I just made up a batch without the brown sugar. It is sitting in the thermos will take a vape sample later and then let it sit for a day or two. I have over 70 flavors but keep finding myself with out one that I need. Life of a DIY huh :toast:

-When this cheaper nic first came out, it was marketed as "Pepper Nic" but was soon changed to "Throat Hit Nic" -I have not tried it and don't plan to. I heard that VT blows oxygen through it or some kind of hocus pocus. Why extra manufacturing steps would result in a far less expensive product does not make sense, at least to me.

Nor does anything about this concept make any sense to me either! :toast:

Hi, I've been reading this thread for a few weeks and learning so much from you all. Thank you :)

I hadn't joined in, because I just started, and I have a variety of juices from a lot of companies, so only about a third of them are TFA.

Anyway, I wonder if the nic called pepper nic is the kind I have gotten in some premade juices that actually had a peppery taste?

I use VT nic, and like it a lot, but it's not the throat hit one. It's the one they sell at Bull City.

Bill, I tried your Peaches and Pears juice today. It's really good! I haven't made very many yet, because I'm trying to vape up all the juice I bought, and I've got a lot of it. I've liked a very few of the flavors I've bought. Only a few were to horrible to vape, but only a few were ever worth buying again, which is why I decided to try DIY.

Anyway, I thought it was time to introduce myself. Hopefully, as I get more TFA flavors, I will be able to contribute here too.

However, we were looking for a very specific clone of a juice, where peppermint is the primary, and chocolate is a nice secondary taste (almost aftertaste)
Ok, I have been playing with this and it's yummy.
I would not say perfected yet, but it's good as is ... I'm just trying to make it perfect for my tastes.
With only 3 ingredients, it's fun to switch the %'s around and see the differences.

Before Nine Mints
16% TFA Dbl Chocolate-clear
4-6% TFA Peppermint (depends on if you want the peppermint or the choc up front.)
0.5% TFA Menthol (not really, see notes)
1% FA Vape Wizard
Notes: The menthol is super strong, and you need to make 15ml, and just add one drop of menthol to it.
The menthol is suppose to be very subtle. It gives that "Andes" taste to it, but you don't want to notice it.
I'm having trouble trying to make a smaller batch, and control the menthol.
I'm going to dilute some menthol flavoring 50/50 with PG, and see if it's easier to work with.
Note: The Vape Wizard is for the Chocolate. It changes the PH of the juice.
You can substitute a drop or two of apple cider vinegar instead.
It's really a super easy recipe and has come out good every time.
No matter what changes I've made to it, ... it still comes out yummy.
The menthol is the one I need to get a handle on ... it gives that "cool" mint taste and texture when you get the % right
It needs to steep ... the longer it steeps, the better it is.

It's the best nic I have found. Very "clean", and the flavors taste so much better.
I think Kevin just put up a sale code (BLACK-FRIDAY-NICOTINE) for the regular nic, but not the TH one.
I have not tried the TH one, as I don't care for a strong TH.

Welcome Kathi- You will find a lot of hit and miss with flavorings, too, as taste is SO subjective. But you will find what you are looking for with some experimentation. I know I did. Good luck! :toast: -Lots of good stuff from TFA, IMO. :)

Bill,

Even though I am a relative newbie to DIY vaping, I do know a little about chemistry and nicotine. First, the 100mg/ml. is only 10% not pure nicotine. The 99.7~9 purity USP nic. they are referring to is the source of which is being used to dilute down to 100mg/ml. Pure nic. is 1000mg/ml. It is also crazy dangerous. The fumes off of it alone is harmful. I actually have a one ounce bottle of it and I am afraid to open it. It should only be done under a vent hood or outdoors in a breeze. I kid you not, and I am not a safety nerd. I don't even consider using gloves with the 100mg stuff.
Back on topic, it is just a guess but I think the "throat hit" nic. is pepper nic. also. Okay sorry about my ranting on and I wish everyone a happy holidays. God bless all of you.

Well aware of all that you speak of. However, even 10% nicotine starts at 99.7% +/- a miniscule amount and is diluted in a carrier base. However, the USP designation is based on the 995 mg/ml amount. I never suggested using undiluted nicotine, nor do I use undiluted nicotine. You misunderstood my point. I was referring to the USP designation. You can look it up, I have. If what I was saying was confusing, thank you for clarifying this for everyone else. :toast:

Also, the point of the discussion is that additives to the USP nicotine, render it no longer US Pharmacopeial Convention (USP). Dilution in a carrier base does not render it no longer USP. It is the introduction of another chemical that would do that.

P.S. For those of you that don't know, pure nicotine is one of the few substances that will kill 100% of all living organisms on Earth. It is used for fumigation, and it is effective. I buy only 100 mg/ml nicotine, or 10%, and then dilute that down to 6 mg/ml or .6% nicotine. I have found that in VG, even if I get a drop on my skin, I don't have to sprint to the faucet to wash it off, though I don't forget to do so, either. Also, when working with even 10% nicotine (100 mg/ml), I always use gloves and eye protection. :toast:
