A gallon is 3.785 liters. Lets make it 4 for simple math. 4000 ml makes 400 - 10ml bottles. If I vape 10ml a day (that's a lot for most people) it would last 400 days, over a year. A liter of 60mg/ml nic in vg and 4 liters of vg mixed would give me about 1000 days of unflavored liquid at 5ml a day.

Think before you buy too much. If you mix for a lot of people, then YMMV.

Not suggesting anyone buy any particular quantity. I make several hundred bottles of juice a week, so it probably goes a little faster for me than you. I was only trying to illustrate quantity discounts do have value, and do reduce juice costs significantly.

Yep LMAO - I almost had a heart attack. I figure a gallon will last ME awhile. Having to pick up like 10-15 samples of flavorings was kinda fun.

Next order will be to Tfa bulk. My account is ready to go just waiting till after xmas to stay stocking up a little after a timreb?

BTW... one more option for those that can find a vendor/product they can trust; if you have Amazon prime you can get some decent prices with FREE shipping. PG and VG are common enough items to find. I got a pint of pg and a quart of vg for a decent price with no shipping cost because it was prime eligible.

I would still buy my nic from a reputable source.

This is near, and dear, to my heart because shipping to Hawaii costs a lot unless it's flat rate usps.

what's weird is that you can ship UPS ground to Hawaii but not many online retailers seen to account for this during checkout. When shipping is greater than 30% of the order it's kind of painful.

edit: check that...I just realized I got half a gallon ... twice as much as a quart!

Yum yum yum. I'm about to use the rest of my VG to mix up a few little 5ml batches. I think I can get 3 maybe 4 out of it.

Oh off topic - kinda- last week I noticed almost all the vendors had a gallon of vg for $25. I was gonna buy it from either MFS or somewhere else I can't remember but the shipping cost made my heart drop - another $25!

Soooooo for the heck of it I checked wizardlabs & they had it for $26.99 and of course if that's all I ordered the shipping would be just as high but instead I just went crazy and ordered $65 worth of stuff - most I didn't need. I only truly needed VG but hey this is the only thing that made sense LOL! I'm hoping to see the package in a few days seems they're running a bit behind.

I ordered a gallon of 100mg/ml nic VG and 1/2 gal of VG when they had their one day 20% off sale, plus I had a ton of points.....
(of course whatever the metric equivalent is, as MFS sells in liters)

Oh boy I didn't realize a gallon was SO much. I usually order much less but all the sales were on the gallons. I have amazon prime but only till Jan 5th but it's too late for all of that now.

I guess I'll be super overloaded with vg - I don't vape 10mls a day. I'm not sure what exactly I vape. I do drip all day everyday except for the occasion Kayfun fill here and there. I should stick to one particular juice 1 day just to see how much I vape that would be interesting. I know it's not a little.

So when I get this gallon I figure I'll fill up the 120ml jar I have but then what's the right thing to do with the rest? Just a cool dark place?

Oh and I just reread my previous post not sure what was up with the last sentence lol.. gotta luv auto correct. I fixed it but I couldn't even make sense of it LOL.

That's what i do is just keep it in a cool place.A gallon sounds like alot,but with diy,you will go through it faster than you think.Think of all the little samples you make to try,on top of any bigger bottles you make.I got my gallon probably 2-3 months ago,and it's just over 1/2 a gallon now,it wont last quite as long as you think if you make alot of samples.

I haven't being mixing too long, since September... Maybe. I've definitely gone through a half liter of VG, and now that I'm vaping 40+ watts all day, it's going up slightly.

But, I seem to have a slightly unusual way of vaping: I've been running around 0.33 to 0.44 (I'm not OCD about multiples of 1/9, I swear!) ohms on a mech, liquid from 12 to 15mg. So, my batteries last all day and I've been going through at most 8ml a day - not bad, if you ask me! Now, if I were to drop down to 3mg or 6mg, I guarantee I'd go through juice and batteries like crazy.

Plus, a big blast of 15mg is a great way to wake me up in the morning!

I need to correct myself on that.It's my pg that's down that low,my vg is probably 3/4 full.I have used alot of pg doing tobacco and tea extracts,but when i glanced at the bottles i thought the pg was the vg haha.Still wont last quite as long as you would think though haha,i'm figuring maybe a year,but then again when i do sit down to mix,i usually make 10-15 5ml samples at a time,plus whatever i'm making in the 30ml bottles.

I bought a pint of VG several months ago, which I reckon will probably last me a year -- in 30ml mixes, I never seem to add more than about 1ml, but that's partly because my WTA is 100% VG, and my mixes are usually always about 10% WTA. The pint of PG I bought back in April or May is getting low, but I have another 2 pints waiting -- and that will go much faster, using 80%-85% PG in all my mixes, but I'll just get more of that "Nature's Oil" brand from Amazon. Their shipping cost on heavy liquids is probably better than anyone's. I looked at the gallon of PG from ecigexpress, good price on that... and the shipping cost on it almost made me pass out, so I quickly went back to Amazon's pints.

If I'm running a dripper (more often than not now-a-days) I easily go through 30ml of 1mg/ml juice in a day, typically at 98% VG.

That works out to something on the order of 11 liters a year (rounded up), or a little less than 3 gallons. Thankfully a single 120ml bottle of 100mg/ml nicotine will last an entire year.

I store my nicotine, VG, and PG in the freezer, the flavors are in a small refrigerator. I have at least a few years worth of nicotine in storage, the rest I'm not particularly worried about, but I'd say I could go at least a year on what I have in storage.

Once you nail your ADV recipes it isn't all that hard to put back a little cash to get a good deal on the ingredients you need to make a years worth of it. It was a huge deal for me when I cut from 3mg/ml to 1mg/ml. No plans to go any lower or ever really cut it out completely.

I buy my vg from bulk apothecary. 1 gallon (10 lbs.) Is like 13 bucks. Seems to be good vg. Ive vaped a bunch of it so far. There pg is good also.
