I think this is what you looking for :)

Grape Bubbleburst
Grape Candy - 10%
Vanilla Swirl - 5%
Sweet Crèam - 4%
Bubblegum - 3%
Sweet and Tart - 3%
Strawberry - 2%

Yeah, this is the bubbleburst which has both bubble gum and starburst flavorings. If you just want the bubble gum, drop the sweet and tart. Also, you can use this with normal, good ole grape as well, or just make this as a starburst by dropping the bubble gum. All are very good. Also, the grape, without the strawberry will go chemical/floral on you, so make sure and add it, or raspberry.

Also, you can make this simple flavoring, as follows:

Kaboom/Bazooka Grape Bubble Gum

Grape - 10%
Cotton Candy - 10%
Strawberry - 2%

Here's another variation that is good, if you don't have grape candy, for example:

Grape - 6%
Vanilla Swirl - 4%
Sweet Cream - 2%
Bubble Gum - 2%
Strawberry - 2%

I like them all. Hope you find something you like as well! :toast:

Oooh Bill please tell me your grape bubblegum recipe is in your blog??? That's what I'm shooting for really. I'm a simple dude that just wants a collection of like Jolly Rancher or good old Bubble-Yum/Hubba Bubba stuff!! I'm gonna be putting in an order for the 1oz Watermelon and Grape juice at TFA Monday, I'll grab some sweetener and cream too now!! Love the watermelon and grape juice at 13% but the watermelon tastes like a real watermelon (which is good) but some sugary notes would just make it go mmmmmm!

You might also like a Watermelon Starburst:

Watermelon Starburst

Watermelon -15%
Sweet and Tart - 5%
Sweetener - 2 - 4%

Watermelon Bubblegum

Watermelon - 15%
Bubblegum - 8%
Sweetener - 2 - 4%

Enjoy. I've tried 'em all, and they made my collection. Two cents! :toast:

Watermelon Surprise!

Watermelon - 14%
Watermelon Candy - 4% (Had to use it somewhere)
Sweetener - 5%
Lemon - 2%
Orange Cream - 2%
Sweet and Tart - 2%
Koolada - 1%

Wonderful on a warm spring day! Hot sun, cool breeze....:D

Awesome!!!! I've got some shopping to do haha!! So is this the grape candy or grape juice flavor?? Ive been using the juice flavor, not the candy one.. I noticed there's a "candy" watermelon as well. That blueberry candy mix I was worried about actually turned out fine. Probably needed another 2% but at least it didn't kill me haha..

Grape is grape. Grape Candy is grape candy. Either one makes a great juice, imho, provided you neutralize with raspberry/strawberry, or enough vanilla creams to overwhelm the built-in chemical/floral that comes with grape.

Okay... I've got a question. I'm thinking about using the Egg Nog flavor in a juice... considering adding Vanilla Bourbon to it. Question is, does that have an actual bourbon flavor profile? And, what other flavors do you think would compliment the Egg Nog?

Floral/Chemical notes do exist in some flavors, or can occur at higher percentages in some flavors. To eliminate those notes, don't wait to see if they dissipate, the chemical/floral note is an indication of an incomplete mix, not a lack of steeping. Here are some suggestions:

1. Reducing the percentage flavoring of the primary can often times eliminate the floral/chemical note, or
2. Add 2% strawberry, or 2% raspberry to the mix. At these low percentages, they will not be significant, if they can be tasted at all, and they will help "neutralize" the offending chemical/floral notes. Primary flavoring at 7%+ will overwhelm these fruits at 2%. Give it a shot. :?:
3. Adding a good balance of creams, sweeteners and vanilla, even to tobaccos will not overwhelm the mix, if mixed at under 6% (each), and will supercharge and enhance the primaries. In so doing, they will also eliminate the chemical/floral notes in most cases. Many juices, including tobaccos, DO have creams and vanillas at low percentages. They round, smooth, and enhance the mix very effectively, and in small percentages are not significant, often not detectable. In most cases, the creams/vanillas/sweeteners will be the missing ingredient that we often cannot put our finger on.

Good luck! :toast: :D

:2cool: :vapor:

I tried a bit of raspberry. but that seemed to make it worse for me. So I've added some caramel and vanilla, and it's made it more tolerable. I won't dump it now, but I probably won't get into it very often LOL

I'm learning SO much from reading this thread. It's giving me some ideas to expand my flavor listing. I think the concept of adding the cotton candy/sweetener to different things should be the key that gets me over the edge on a couple things I've tried. I'd thought that if I K.I.S.S.'d it, I'd be o.k., but I'm beginning to find that's not the case. There need to be some underlying tones that on their own don't do much, but are needed to "balance" the entire mix.

Thanks so much for your expertise, Bill. It's greatly appreciated :)

I use the eggnog in a few mixes, most notably vanilla custard.

Vanilla Custard

Vanilla Custard - 13%
Sweetener - 6%
Vanilla Bean Ice Cream - 3.5%
Eggnog - 2%
Smooth - 2%
Butter - 2%
Graham Cracker - 1.5%

You could easily change the vanilla bean ice cream for the vanilla bourbon and get a slightly different flavoring. Probably work just fine too! :toast:

What were you adding the raspberry to, btw? A fruit flavoring? What was the floral/chemical note that you were trying to alleviate? :D

Creams, vanillas and sweeteners/cotton candy make everything taste better. Flavoring is not intuitive often times, it is largely trial and error. Some of the best mixes I've ever tasted did not seem like they would work well together, so flavoring is really not something you can "think" through, at least until you learn what flavorings and percentages do work together, and then, of course, it gets easier to spot a good recipe. :2c: :toast:

Sorry Bill. The tobacco I'd asked about yesterday. It was a 555/Toasted Almond/Toasted Marshmallow that was too "floral" for me.

Yes, given the toasted marshmallow, toasted almond tobacco, I would focus the creams/vanillas/sweetener/Cotton Candy for the reduction of the floral/chemical notes. That was one of the suggestions, third I think, and it may be better with these primaries. Toning down the chemical note in a "marshmallow" mix would likely require a more "Base" approach, rather than the acidic (citrus) approach. But you've now eliminated one of the options, so progress nonetheless! You'll get there. Also, consider a reduction in flavoring from the "offending" flavor. Do you know which one is causing the floral note? :toast:

Had to be the 555. I've used the Almond and Marshmallow in other things, and never been "put-off" by them. I don't normally do tobaccos, but I was on a buying spree with WL, and I thought for a few extra bucks I could expand my repertoire :) I may try this again with much less tobacco and more of the "other goodies". Might even sub the RY4 instead of the 555....

I have been looking and looking, and I swore you'd posted a "lemon-lime cheesecake", but I can't seem to find it anywhere. (Of course, I didn't mark it ) I know it's not the lemon meringue because I don't have pie crust as a flavor, but I had all the others for the cheesecake.

Oh well...

Thanks again!

I can't make a cheesecake worth a hoot! Not with TFA....tried many times over a very long period of time. Don't recall a lemon-lime cheesecake either. I have made several lemon recipes, a key lime pie, and a sprite recipe (lemon-lime with sweetener). I like all three actually, i.e., the lemon pies, cakes, Danish and lemonade plus key lime pie and "Sprite." Among my very favorites. I think they've all been posted. Cheers and good luck with your cheesecake! I don't think it can be done with TFA flavoring alone. :2c: :toast: :D

I don't recall seeing the "Sprite" recipe Bill. Would you mind reposting, I've been working on a "Mountain Dew" with citrus punch as the base flavor as time permits. Coming from you I'm sure it would surely be a great model for it and other drink recipes. I tried your key lime pie yesterday for something outside my normal wheel house and must agree it's very tasty.

I've had luck making cheescake with just tfa flavors. Not lemon but I did make this 3 days ago and it's great. I was reading on fb that some ppl thought the cheescake was a really strong flavor at high percentages - I think it's perfect here. Actually I was thinking of going up a little next time - just letting it steep a bit first to see if it gets stronger. So far after 3 days it has but wonderfully.

This cheescake imo is far better than NY Cheesecake - again for some reason my opinion was opposite of that of those fb people lmao....ah taste is subjective

Strawnana Cheesecake

Banana Cream - 5%
Strawberry - 5%
Cheescake Graham Cracker - 8%
Whipped cream - 3%
EM - 1%

I'm sure this is delicious. I'll have to give it a try. I suppose if I add enough fruits to the mix, we can overwhelm the cheesecake flavoring enough to make it vapable! I haven't had any luck with any of the actual cheesecake flavorings....yet. Sounds wonderful, your mix that is! Good luck! :toast: :D

It's probably better that you started with smaller sizes,at least that's how i do it.I would hate to get a big 4oz. just to find that i don't like that flavor,so any new flavor,i get a small sample size bottle first, then if it's good,i will eventually get the big bottle.

Ok Bill,it's official,i have been totally sucked in haha.My taifun clone should be here monday, and i have a few kgd pads coming as well.Actually i went way overboard this week,i have the taifun,a big buddha, and an aqua v2 coming, and just got a rose v2 the other day,so i'm tapped out for a while,so quit posting about good tanks and wicks and such for a while haha.By the way,i know you said they quit selling the taifun clones on fasttech,so if your in the market for more, the guy i bought mine from is on ebay, and he marked them down to $15.99 with free shipping.

haha, same here. I've gone pretty far over budget buying flavorings - but I am glad I discovered Bill's posts digging around.

I use the eggnog in a few mixes, most notably vanilla custard.

Vanilla Custard

Vanilla Custard - 13%
Sweetener - 6%
Vanilla Bean Ice Cream - 3.5%
Eggnog - 2%
Smooth - 2%

Graham Cracker - 1.5%

I believe this recipe has been posted before on this thread but without the Smooth. Is that a new addition or is it something you just use from time to time?

I have tried a couple of recipes where the inhale is perfect but the exhale is rather harsh so I'm wondering if Smooth is something I might want to experiment with.

Good eye, my friend. Sometimes I use it, sometimes not. I'm moody!

Vanilla Custard is such an uncooperative and difficult flavoring, it does benefit from smooth, more so than many mixes. Smooth is an excellent additive to blend flavorings together, I occasionally use it for uncooperative mixes, those that go floral and chemical, etc. It rounds out the edges, so to speak, and I do like it. Eggnog can be a beast in the mix if you don't get the other flavorings just right, so smooth can help round it out. I probably started with smooth and ended up without it, yet I still retain it in my notes, though I might not have posted it before. A great additive! :toast: :D
