Try it
8%xtra
6%wild
4% cream
4%vanilla
Then whatever sweeteners/background notes you want to use

That's very close to the recipe I'm discussing over in the "all mfr's" thread with Mr Mann; I'm also adding 1% INW Biscuit, to get in the neighborhood of blueberry muffin.

I'm on its trail!!!! :D

If you have it I'd suggest
vanilla cupcake @8% instead of 4% vanilla
Belgian waffle@2%
These 2 make a pretty sold "cupcake" base to mix with fruits. Doesn't work so hot for chocolate cupcakes for whatever reason

Hmm... the only vanilla cupcake I have is FW, and it's ok I guess, but it seemed to need a really long steep time; since discovering this thread, i've discovered what seems to be the cure for that tedious steeping time, but with that FW flavor, I dunno how well that would work at percentages high enough to be useful; it might mean the whole mix needs that steep time, to taste right. Don't have any waffle flavors at all, but I do have some CAP Graham Cracker v2, which I might also try just a smidgin of.

I'm getting tips on pre-diluting that INW Biscuit, because it's very strong; hopefully doing that first, then using only .5% of the 50% biscuit, will yield some good results with a new recipe, with those adjustments to the blueberry flavors.

Thx!
Andria

What I've got so far is a good "base" chocolate...I will post back in a day or so after I play a little more!

Hmm..ok, after one more experiment I'm not sure if I wanna change anything more. This one is about right to my tastebuds:

My Chocolate Cream
Sweet Cream 9%
Vanilla Swirl 3%
Double Chocolate 6%
Milk Chocolate 5%
Sweetener 3%

If you try it let me know what you think!

Made up Bill's Pink Starburst and Cream Fantastico last night (with a modification since I didnt have strawberries and cream). Both were delicious! Tonight I am gonna try and get a good Raspberry Lemonade, got my FW Lemonade the other day so I can get something more accurate this time. Think I will mix up a bigger batch of the Cream Fantastico modified recipe to "save" other recipes as he said. I have a few bottles of Fruit vapes that could use the creamy base.

Doggone it..Forgot to post in the above so I'll post it here so it doesn't get lost in the shuffle.

A great big tip of the hat to Bill.

Sharing your experience with hours of blending TFA flavors in this thread is extremely helpful to us newbies at vape mixology.

Never would have been able to whip up a decent chocolate vape in only a couple days without your help.

If you're ever up here in the Poconos I'll buy ya a cuppa or a brew ;)

Cheers!

Many, many thanks to you and to everyone. This thread has a wonderful participation with amazingly giving folks sharing all that they know and learn and care about. I think that's the way it should be, and I'm happy to have played a part, and even happier that so many are playing their part too. I think it helps everyone here, and those that may come here. I thank you all! Happy vaping! Pass it on! :toast: :D

Bill--Most sincere thanks for sharing your knowledge and experience with the rest of the world!
Am relatively new to DYI, vaping for almost 3 yrs., smoked ready rolls for over 50 yrs. Being older than dirt, don't have time for long steeping so your high flavor suggestions are very appealing, plus both sense of smell and taste left some time ago with a one-way ticket apparently. You mentioned similar conditions so do understand flavor chasing.
Earlier today went to order your suggested TFA basics from Wizard but wouldn't you know, many of them are out of stock. Will find other source or wait. Already have several of their flavors, mostly doing singles; with my missing ability to taste or smell, would be happy for find ONE flavor that comes through. Have about 3 now.
Again, many thanks for your blog and posts that are always welcome and meaningful.

Ok so I have done a lot of reading and I am wanting to start making my own juice I have spent the better part of a few hours reading this thread and I have saved and printed a lot of the info out especially bills magic vapor recipes and info from his blog about basic flavors etc.

Here's the big question I noticed that a lot of the flavors that bill and others are using from TFA have custard notes according to the TFA website and well I know that this is not good for you because of the chemicals used to make custard notes so are you guys still using the flavors with custard notes from TFA I was going to order the list of flavors bill has on his blog labeled "Basic flavors to order from TFA" and then a few others from bills recipes that I want to try out but am concerned about the custard notes (or better yet the hazards of vaping the bad chemicals) I know that TFA has done an excellent job in labeling there flavors but what is the real deal with the custard note flavors that are listed in bills "basic flavorings to order" blog post as I want to be safe as I will be sharing my flavors with others and well I quit smoking to be healthier (and I am sure even the bad chemicals are better than analogs ) but why vape them if you don't have to. (but I do want to have good flavor) I know what a apain in A#% he wants to be healthy and have flavor but really can you guys give me the scoop as I really want to get my ordr in ASAP so I can begin the learning curve of flavor making.

Thank you guys and girls so much for the info especially you bill thank you thank you so much.

Custard notes are at your own risk. They contain diecytyl, known to cause "popcorn lung".
The people that originally got sick from it were people that inhaled concentrated versions of it in popcorn factories for years and years. In vaping it's used it much smaller dilutions. A flavor might contain 1% diecytyl, and that flavor might be used at 10% in a mix.

All that said, I still use it.

You can google all the info and make an informed decision.
