Hi all....

As many of you may know Bill and I are quite busy with our work, and cannot be on all the time....

Many of you know how to contact me, or Bill if there is an issue with the DropBox, etc., both Bill and myself have read, write privileges to the box and will keep it updated.

Please be sure when posting a recipe to note when it's a FINAL and you're happy with the results, as these are the only ones we want to include, of course we all know that taste is subjective, so some tweaking may be necessary to suit different tastes.

Happy Mixing! :thumb:

:toast:

Heh, that's funny actually -- NONE of my recipes are "final" -- I tweak them every single time I mix them! I had a pretty great "final" recipe with my Strawberry & Cream... but now I'm tweaking it to start lowering the flavoring percentages. Today I'm vaping that strawberry & cream I mixed the other day which has 5% less flavoring; it's not bad actually, but I might have dropped the sweetener a little too much; I may need to keep the sweetener at a fairly contant level, even when dropping the % of all the other flavors, so it stays sweet enough to suit me.

And yeah, that problem I had a few weeks ago with sweetener was BECAUSE of that ECX sweetener; now that I'm back to TFA sweetener, I get none of that cloying artificial taste.

I'm working on a "tweak" for my Smocha recipe, since I got some of the INW TDM Deluxe, but... it's not there yet. That TDM Deluxe has a strong chocolate aroma, but all I can really taste is tobacco -- more ammo for my suspicion that I may never be able to taste a chocolate vape properly -- where others find a strong chocolate taste, I just taste... a lot of nothing that has a sweet smell. It's maddening.

The State of Confusion
Can someone say for sure that SIG is the same as TFA or not? I thought I read that somewhere on ECF.
I have a few duplicate flavors of SIG and TFA and they do smell and look similar.
Thanks.

I have no idea what SIG is

TFA is TFA owned by TPA....

The Flavors Apprentice is owned by The Perfumers Apprentice, and we have no idea what SIG is or affiliated to...

NO, it's not affiliated with TFA!

As far as I know, Signature flavors are just re-branded TFA flavors. ECX sells them, but it can be tricky to get the exact flavor you want, because they'll just say "blueberry" instead of including the "extra" "wild" etc.

Almost, but not quite there....

mint sensation (all flavors TFA)
Crème de Menthe 8%
Chocolate 5%
Mint Candy 4%
Bavarian Crème 4%
French Vanilla Crème 4%
Vanillin 3%
Cotton Candy 2%

Not looking for supersweet, but rather a smooth minty flavor with a chocolate undertone.

Chocolate/Peppermint has been one of my ADVs for a couple years. I use several different brands of flavoring along with TFA and found that the peppermint flavorings I used were much stronger than the chocolate. Not sure, maybe decrease some of the vanilla flavors and try some TFA double chocolate (dark) if you have it? - I found the dark colored one tasted better than the clear. Anyway, a second dark chocolate or cocoa flavoring was what mine needed.

Yup, what they all said!

Slots, where have you been?:p
:cry:Kinda all over the place.
Added "REO's" to my mod collection. So now I'm in the process of revising all my recipes .
Same recipe ... different percentages ... one for my regular mods, and one to use with the Reo's.
Yup, there is that much difference between the way they vape the same recipe.
It's like starting all over again:blush:

There was a time I couldn't get this thing to notify me that someone had wrote, and I didn't check in.
I went through a "lurking" spell too, but I get notified now, so I "peek-in" more often.
Everyone is doing a good job of helping each other, and I usually don't have anything to add.
I guess our gang has been around so long, we don't ask questions anymore ... since we know it all
"Been There, Done That", ... and passing it on now day's is about all I do
Good to see you here, glad your still hang'n there  I miss ya all.

Thank you very much, Lady. That's the kind of answer I was hoping for.

I have to ask - Why change the percentages for a Reos ? I have seven Roes Mods, so I am already aware of how they vape. But do you increase or decrease your percentages ?
I am currently using ProVaris and Kayfuns for testing, so will I also have to change my recipes when the flavors I like 'move up' to my Reos ?

Going on record here, since I have talked a fair amount about using 10% Citric Acid solution in this thread in the past in a positive manner.

I have stopped adding Citric Acid solution to our liquids. It has solved the flavor go-flat problems my wife and I have both noticed.

Details in my new blog post. I probably won't discuss it further here in this thread as I'm not posting this to ruffle anyone's feathers. I just don't want to be considered a proponent of CA anymore and I can't undo my old posts.

"YMMV". I'm doing what has proved out for us.

The Dbl-dark is very tasty... but anyone with asthma should give it a miss; it contains sulfites (says so on the TPA website anyway).

Still can't figure out why they put a color preservative into something brown... when the whole purpose of sulfites is to keep foods from turning brown! But they say it's in there.
