AndriaD:- I see that you mentioned in a different thread a DIY coffee/tobacco juice. Can you share the recipe?
'Twould be much appreciated, ma'am [tips hat].

No problem.

Smocha
Inawera Cappucino 2%
Inawera Coffee Tobacco 2.5%
Inawera Virginia Tobacco Absolute 2.5%
CAP Hazelnut v2 2.5%
TFA Vanilla Swirl 2%
TFA Milk Chocolate 3%
TFA Dbl Chocolate-Clear 3%
CAP SweetCream 5%
TFA Malted Milk 1%
TFA Sweetener 1.5%

Comes to 25% flavoring. But it gunks like there's no tomorrow -- though less, since I switched from the DblChoc-Dark to the DblChoc-Clear. I can get a week out of my wicks in the kayfun I put this in, but only because I don't vape it much; a few hits in the morning, a few hits after meals. The rest of the time I vape my strawberries and cream.

If you don't care for sweet coffee, you might prefer it with no, or less, sweetener. I'm told this is very chocolatey, but honestly I don't really taste that -- I seem to have a tastebud-blindspot with chocolate flavored vapes. Or the coffee and tobacco flavors just hide the chocolate taste from me. I've also tried a variation of this recipe, using Inawera Deluxe TDM, but that's still a work in progress, not as good as the recipe above.

Boy is that the truth!

Dulce de leche by itself...yecch! LOL!

Cinnamon Sugar cookie...very bland!

One Bill didn't mention Sweet Cream.....aka sour milk! (by itself)!

But that's what we have been saying all along...the flavors are all building blocks! :thumb:

:toast: :vapor:

Yes indeed, but it's important to know how each flavor tastes on it's own. That way it makes it easier to know how it would affect a multi-flavor blend...

Exactly ... Remember, flavoring was created for food.
If I'm making Cherry Cupcakes, I buy the cherry flavoring, and I expect it to taste like cherry.
Cooks do not expect to buy 3-4 different flavorings to make it taste like cherry

Vaping is different, but the flavoring should still resemble "cherry" as a starting point.
I always make a 2ml solo test of the flavorings I buy.
It doesn't matter if I'm adding flour, cream , and sugar, in the kitchen, or adding sweetener, and cream in e-juice, .. the cherry has to carry it's own in the flavor department to be any good.
Right ?? Wrong ?? .. maybe I better go have some more coffee ..

I think that's true, but also, in cooking/baking, if you're making something sweet, you expect to add some kind of sugar, it's just part of the recipe -- in vaping, we don't use sugar of course, but we still need to add sweetener; TFA flavors are like, "cherry" not "cherry+sweetener". Which to me, is a good thing, because people vary a LOT in what tastes sweet to them, what tastes too-sweet, what tastes not-sweet-enough. By not adding the sweetener right into the base flavor, TFA allows us to customize the juice to our own tastebuds -- which is a big part of the reason I got into DIY; most pre-made juice isn't sweet enough to me.

Heh... dunno how it'll taste, but I bet it's BLACK. :D Mine never gets a chance to steep. :D (of course I only make enough for one month's light usage, since I'm still decreasing my WTA %.)

To be honest I got into DIY because I used to use those Blu cigalikes and I really liked the Cherry Crush flavor and wanted to attempt to duplicate it. I knew Johnson Creek made the juice for Blu and it was a shame that they couldn't sell it themselves. If they could then I probably wouldn't have bothered with DIY at all. But in the long run I'm glad I did as I've come up with some really tasty stuff that I like a lot better!

Here's a take on cheesecake I came up with last night. I find the regular tfa cheesecake flavor quite disgusting honestly... but used in small amounts with other creams it gives a decent cheesecake flavor.

5% cheesecake (graham crust)
1% cheesecake
2% vanilla custard
2% vanilla swirl
2% graham cracker (clear)
3% sweetener
5% strawberry (ripe)

the strawberry was almost undetectable at 5% so next time I'll probably crank it up to around 7-8% for a strawberry cheesecake. I've been trying to come up with a cheesecake recipe ever since I got into DIY and this is the closest one so far.

I'm lik'n this .
My twist too it would be to take just the flavorings, without any fruit, and make 5-6ml of it all by it's self.
Then, add the % of the cheesecake flavoring I want, and add a fruit flavor (or caramel  ) at the time I mix.
That way I have a "cheesecake" flavored base, and I can create different flavored cheesecakes.
I hate making extra work for myself, like dragging out all those different flavors each time I want to make something.
This way I would have the basic "cheesecake" flavoring already to go, and I can change it up, with a different flavor every time I mix.... winner winner
Thanks, I'll try your recipe ;)

by all means, let me know what you think! I was thinking the same thing, using this recipe as a base, and adding to it! Strawberry, blueberry, caramel and pecan? I mixed some of the original batch I made with some basic strawberry juice I had made earlier and it made it an actual strawberry cheesecake. I'll definitely be experimenting with this one. Hope you like it!

Love being a part of this thread....lots of great info
Any success I've had making juice is a result of following this thread & Bill.
I come across something that looks good, give it a shot and make minor adjustments to my liking.
In my current rotation are fruity COPYRIGHTDMCA, creme brûlée, bills vanilla custard and key lime pie.
Have been attempting a peanut butter with little success- not "full" enough

Can someone shar the fruity COPYRIGHTDMCA recipe? I still can't seem to open the zip file. I am sure it has been shared 100 times already :|
Fruit circles 8%
Berry crunch 5
Cotton candy 4
Sweetner 4
Vanilla swirl 3
Bavarian cream 3
Dulce de lache 4

Lots of fruit. Great right away, perfect 2/3 days

Credit to Bill. I MAY drop the fruits by one percent next batch
