Huckleberry is a flavor I don't see mentioned here a lot, or ever? It's a great fruity flavor, and VERY strong, so I wanted to leave a comment on this for anyone searching in the future.

Unlike many other TFA flavors, TFA's Huckleberry can be used at 0.5-1% for a very strong full flavored juice, go to 2% if you want it "in your face" strong :D

Does not mix well with others, I mean easily covers other flavors, so if you want to try mixing with it start with 0.5% or less :thumb:

I think I'll have to try the huckleberry. Do you mix it with anything at all, or just use it as a single flavor?

I use it as a single flavor, but have mixed it with strawberry ripe, and FW Blueberry. I've been meaning to try it with the toasted marshmallow mentioned on TFA site, but haven't gotten around to that yet.

Probably would go good with melon or watermelon (Not TFA) too

Speaking of Huckleberry, one of the first TFA flavors I bought when I originally got this whim to make juice (over a year ago, then realized I had LOTS to learn) was Boysenberry. Thought I would make a pancake type thing. It smells divine. I never hear it mentioned. Anyone tried it?

I've never ate them so I don't know, I was only referring to the TFA flavorings :)

I do think all fruit/berry fans should try TFA huckleberry, it's a great flavor and VERY strong compared to most other TFA flavors.

* That 5% she mentions on site may be the reason she also mentions "some people love it, some hate it" Not sure I could stomach 5% either and would probably hate it, but 1-2% is lovely.

Thanks for posting this. I got some Huckleberry on a whim and haven't found a way to use it. May just mix up some on it's own and try it. Does it need sweetner as well?

You're welcome, hope it helps find some new fans for Huckleberry! :) (Thanks @Stoneface for PIF'n me this flavor long ago)

I rarely use sweetener, so to me no it does not need sweetener, I'd class it as medium sweet by itself. If you use sweetener all the time then you might want to add some later, but I'd say try it first without it, try at 1% or 2% if you want really strong.

It doesn't need to steep either, but it's edges do smooth over after about a week like many flavors.

I'm on a summertime quest.... 'Tis the season for a super-juicy, sweet honeydew mix. I don't know if I need to throw other melon-types in, but my base attempt at merely honeydew and sweetener just don't cut it. Desperately seeking recommendations :D

This is what I'm vaping right now:

10% honeydew
5% vanilla bean gelato
5% sweet cream
2% sweetener

I added Hangsen desert ship to a cola and it popped out the cola better than cola stand alone. I also use the desert ship as a base add the cotton candy for my wife's vape. Highway also improved the grape by popping out the flavor. Its weird and I don't know why but adding either Highway, Desert ship or No5 to some of my stand alones it improved them lots. I don't see why it wouldn't work on your mix. I'm using 60% of a 6%Hangsen tobacco already made and steeped along with 40% of the flavor I already have made also and let steep a bunch more days. Its worked just dandy for me and produced some mighty fine vapin.

What does koolada add to the flavor? I have some of that too but wasn't sure how I should use it. Don't want to add too much minty in. A tiny touch is fine. Funny, when I first started vaping, I loved menthol taste but not so much now [emoji6]

Koolada doesn't have a taste, and I'm not sure what it would add to Huckleberry, probably nothing good but that's just me :)

Try it without first, I don't think it will make it better

Thanks! Going to try it on it's own. If I feel it needs something, may add a touch of toasted marshmallow. Did up a whole bunch of juice yesterday and there were a couple of recipes that I wanted to try. May as well do a little more today. [emoji4]

It's not one-dimensional like some TFA flavors, so it can be enjoyed by itself, but yes some cream or marshmallow might improve it a bit.

I liked it with strawberry ripe, and I'm sure it would go well with many other fruits, I've been thinking about mixing it with dragon fruit next but I'll probably have to use it at 0.25% or less to not smother out the dragon fruit :D

Happy mixing, and be sure to let us know how it all turns out! :thumb:

Oh wow the Huckleberrry came out really good! Started out at 2% with some toasted marshmallow. Dripped a little FOOB and liked it but felt it needed something so I added a little ripe strawberry and a bit of sweetener. Really like it and I imagine some steeping will do it justice. And you are right, it is a strong flavor. Wouldn't want to go more than 2%. And I like my flavors pretty strong. [emoji6]

I do mix a lot of juices but time and again when I want something clean and refreshing I keep turning to the first one I ever mixed - what I call my Tropical Custard. Have to admit the Watermelon and Peach in it are from Molinberry - the rest are TFA - so I can't vouch that it would taste the same if other brands are used. I've been mixing it and vaping it for over two months now and never tire of it. I call it my chill out vape - a point of reference that confirms my taste buds are still in good health. :)

I may try this with cantaloupe instead of the honeydew,i've tried several times to come up with something good using honeydew, and it is just a flavor i can't bring myself to like haha.I have done a few cantaloupe cream types though,so next time i mix some juice i'll give it a go with this one.

Yummm!! That sounds delicious!

I tried a raspberry lemonade the other day that was okay, but needs some work. It was fine at first, but got weird pretty fast. I'm just gonna scrap it and start over from scratch and see if I can come up with something better. I've been pretty stuck on my old peaches n cream recipe and just mixed another pint of it. Maybe this coming weekend I'll set aside some time for some experimentation and see what I can come up with. Definitely feeling the need to find a new ADV.

I love raspberry lemonade flavors.. when the raspberry is good. So far, I found one raspberry flavor that wasn't nasty and I can't remember what brand it was. :( I think it was FW. All the other ones are GRRROOOOOOOSSSSSSSSS... IMO

Did you ever get a perfumey sort of taste from that Juicy Peach, and if so, how do you get rid of it?

Andria

I feel kinda stupid asking this, considering I'm from GA... but what flavors are good with peach? To me peaches are about as exciting as.. I dunno, paper towels? They're ok, I don't hate em or anything, and home made peach ice cream is really something... but to me they suffer from severe dullness. I've never been a fan at all of mixed fruits for actual edibles, I prefer them one at a time, but I'm finding with vaping that some are good, mixed... like putting 4 different sweet tarts or Smarties in your mouth at the same time. Just wondering about opinions of what flavors mix well with peach.

Andria
Sorry I have been busy and it took me a while to reply, but Juicy Peach is probably my FAVORITE flavor from TFA. It was the first one I found that, to me, could not make a bad juice. When I first started with it, I used it at around 20%.. usually by itself. Then I started to add 1-2 drops of Black Cherry per 5ml. Now I am mixing it with pretty much any juice I can. I am currently vaping:

10% Lemon
5% Juicy Peach
5% Watermelon Candy
2% Blueberry Extra
2% Key Lime

I would drop the lemon to 5% for anyone who doesn't want a powerful lemon flavor. I know you mentioned not having Lemon flavor, this is just an example.
Thanks :). Let me know how the black cherry works out for you. I'm finding it a really hard flavour to work with.

Black cherry is SUPER strong for me. If I am going to use it, I measure by the drops per 5/10ml. One or two drops is usually where I land. Otherwise it is all I can taste.

On an unrelated note... I have a couple questions about a couple flavors I am just adding. First one, Cotton Candy. I just got a 4oz bottle of it directly from TPA and never really smelled it. I got it to use as sweetener so I figured it wouldn't really smell. Long story short, it taste and smell like spearmint. I don't, nor ever have, had or used any mint flavors in my DIY, so I didn't contaminate it on accident. Is this normal?

Also, I got a 4oz Strawberry Ripe. It taste EXACTLY like strawberrys... just not ripe. They taste green to me. Is this normal? Even at small % it is a little weird, and I feel like it takes away the sweetness to my juice a little and adds a sort of bitter taste.
