That sounds like a good one.I'll have to pick up a few of those flavors,but i have seen the same ones i'm missing in a few other recipes too,so it will give me the chance to try several others ton the vanilla custard,it doesn't say,is that Tfa or Capella?I have both of those,but just want to make sure i use the right one haha.


I used to let mine run really low like that because i was afraid i would get tired of it and end up with a whole bottle that i didn't want to use anymore,but now,i make a 120ml,and when it gets down to 30ml,i transfer that to a 30ml bottle,then make a new 120ml,that way it has a few days to blend and steep before i get into that one.

I've got all those for the Snickerdoodle. Hopefully @Simply Red will chime in. The way I'm reading it, the one's that don't say CAP (boo and hiss) are all TFA. And, even though it's a TFA thread, even Bill himself had a few non TFA on his starting/approved/blessed list of flavors. About 30% of mine are not TFA.

Yup. 2 CAP's and the rest TFA. I had to let other folks try it as I've never had a Snickerdoodle cookie before.

I have the plain TFA Coconut and am looking for suggestions for its use. Has anyone used it with chocolate in any way? I get the impression that it has a bold flavor so toning it down in percentage seems prudent.

I'll snoop around for a week and then go somewhere with it.

This Castle Long clone from the Dark Ages of vape thread was one I was going to order Coconut for but I would have had to order some of the other flavors as well so I put it off for later as my BCF cart was already overflowing:

I know it exists, it's just not stocked by the vendors I use. Anyway, this one's great...
Vanilla Bourbon TFA: 2%
Brown Sugar Extra TFA: 0.5%
Coconut Extra TFA: 3%
Kentucky Bourbon TFA: 6%
Oak Wood FA: 0.5%
Toasted Almond TFA: 3%
Vanillin TFA: 2%
AP TFA: 2%

I have another one, that only uses 10% total flavoring, but it's not so great.

I was just thinking on it and I have a Chocolate Cookie that I like. I may pull out the cookie and then add the coconut.

6% TFA Milk Chocolate
2% TFA Bittersweet Chocolate
4% FA Cookie
3% TFA Graham Cracker Clear
3% TFA Brown Sugar or Sweetener(Optional to taste)

I have had no luck when adding coconut from any vendor into a mix. So what I ended up doing was making a stand alone mix of coconut and a stand alone mix of chocolate and mixed the two together by taste. Only tried a 15 ml bottle and it worked out well. Both the chocolate and the coconut take forever to steep into the flavors they end up being. Upwards of three weeks or more. That is probably why I can never used them in other mixes....I am just too impatient. LOL

I'm afraid I don't have a chocolate recipe; but here is one I still rotate in from time to time:
Snake Oil by Seduce Juice Clone
FYI: I have not found it particularly strong. Now TFA's Coconut Extra is strong! Depending on the recipe, and how coconut "forward" I am wanting it to be, I use between 2-6% of the regular coconut.

That sounds like it could work! I never had much luck w/chocolate (I'm like Sugar; to impatient ). But Your recipe sounds good. Of course I don't have the FA Cookie! Dang it! Another item on the shopping list... <sigh>.

Consider a crock pot or ultrasonic to speed steep?

I went with this:

6% TFA Milk Chocolate
2% TFA Coconut
1% TFA Bittersweet Chocolate Extra
1% Brown Sugar Extra

All of this is for taste and is in 60/40 PG. I do like the heavier flavor, being nice in the evening or sitting after a meal. I am glad someone mentioned the longer steep time, though. It will be a long steep time for just 5ml. I will crock pot it for 4-5 hours. I sense that it gives me about a 10-day steep when I do other flavors. After that, two weeks in the dark drawer. Steeping times are an area that I get nervous about, since it is not an exact science, so I just tend to go long.

I thought about a lot of other things like dairy cream, other creams, chocolate, chocolate extra, regular sucrose, sweetener. Just so many possibilities.

Haha.Yeah,i've been on this thread a long time,even before Bill got here i think,but i have definitely seen a lot of,and posted some with other brands,this was originally started as a Tfa thread,but through the last few years has became more of a whatever tastes the best type of thread,and it seems to work really well that way.I've seen a few recipes here that have 1 Tfa flavor,but it still fits the concept of the thread haha.

That's one flavor i like in small doses haha.I will mix some up,and really like it for about 2ml or so,then it just doesn't appeal to me anymore.I guess for me,it must just be something i have to be in the right mood for.

I had been using strawberry cheesecake for a long time. It was one of the first recipes I tried from the Dropbox. I just recently cut it from rotation. I bought the big bottle of lemonade and have been using it every day for a little while now.

It seems to work as a TFA thread, for the most part. I prioritize TFA ingredients, but TFA doesn't always have them at my normal (large) vendor. Actually, if I do see a non-TFA ingredient, I look for a TFA replacement for that recipe.

As a DIYer, my priority is to use flavors that I trust for quality, but sometimes I revert to another brand of flavor when no TFA-made flavor is available.

I would say that about 80-90% of my flavors are TFA but I have a few cap, FW, SC, and maybe one or two others. I still have a handful of flavors that I bought thinking I had to have and never tried. One of these days I'll get off my .... and try them.

Since I'm new to all this I take it most, at least on this thread, feel TFA flavors for the most part are the best? That's what I'm starting with. I bought directly from them, perhaps not as cheap as can be found elsewhere, but I had read that many resellers buy in larger quantities and then use their own bottles for resale, and may not be as fresh. Not sure of any of that, but I do like the labeled glass bottles I got directly from TFA.

I've always liked Snake Oil. Coconut Extra is the only coconut I've ever used, and it's always worked well for me. I've been using this variant:

Bav. Cream TFA 3%
Pear TFA 9%
Coconut Extra TFA 1.5%

If you're like me and TFA Pear starts to wear you down after awhile, here's another all TFA Snake variant to keep things interesting:

Snake Venom
Juicy Peach 5%
Bavarian Cream 5%
Coconut Extra 1.5%
(optional) EM 0.50%

Use your Coconut regular at 5%. Should work fine.

Same here.When i first started diy,the vendor i used only carried Tfa,so that is what got me started with them,then i started ordering from Wizard labs,and at the time all they sold was Tfa and Lorann,so i still stuck with the Tfa,and like you,at least 90% of what i have is Tfa,but i do venture out and use other brands as well.I'm not loyal to any 1 brand,as some flavors i have found are better from varying brands.
Also,like you,i have several,probably 10 or more flavors that i just had to have,but after getting them,have yet to try them,some have been sitting close to a year waiting for the day that i finally crack them open to give them a try haha.

I can't speak for others,but i can't say Tfa or any other brand is the best,since some flavors are better from different brands,Example,Tfa and Capella both make vanilla custard,and they are both good,but to me,the Capella is better,I can't stand any of the strawberry flavors from Tfa,but i like Capella sweet strawberry,etc.,but what i can say is that for most of my flavors,Tfa is my top choice.

And, after checking all my flavors (60 total) 2/3 are TFA. The rest vary with CAP and FA.
