Scuba diving and the ocean in general were always my calling. Got certified for PADI when I was 13 and my instructor called me fish. As of last summer though, ive been taking the leap into skydiving, its an incredible experience. I figured id trade the deep blue sea for the big blue sky for awhile. If I can get to 200 jumps I can buy a wingsuit, and then things get really fun. Id hope to someday be doing this; YouTube - ‪Wingsuit proximity flying with Vampire 4‬‏ becuase there couldn't possibly be anything more fun and intense feeling than that :)

I <3 my GG, I love your landscaping! It's really spectacular!

Jools, Nice reef tank... I count at least 3 tridacna clams. Looks like you have a maxima and a crocea. Very nice collection of SPS coral too, I kept reefs for a very long time, it's one of my first passions. (I don't have a tank right now.)

Had to make room for my workshop :2cool:

Maple Burl vase 9 1/2" tall 3 1/2" in diameter.

Speaking of Australia... Australian woods are some of my favorites! This is my latest project... Small vase, Banksia pod inlayed with crushed turquoise, with a maple burl neck and foot.

Rick.45cal, thank you. :) Your woodcraft work is amazing!!!!!!!!
We have some interesting Tasmanian trees here for woodcraft too btw. It's Huon Pine, Sassafras, Tasmanian Blackwood, Tasmanian Myrtle etc. I have them all growing in my garden and some Banksias of course. I see woodcraft souvenirs here made from our local wood but I've never seen anything like your vases before. :)

Buka, are those the names of your baby cats?

IlovemyGG, exellent thought to open a thread like this my dear. ! I strongly believe that we all need hobbies in our lives. They help us live in a better way and they make us rest and feel nice. As for my hobby, you know it already as the rest of GG friends do

All digital, usual format, it's just type of presentation by this site ) My photo love is Norway, best place to drive, walk around with camera, fantastic places, you just need to press camera button ))

Mine is photo - Twilight:blush:

Those are really nice landscapes i used to shoot a lot of medium format but only get to do a little now i also love large format but that is something i only do very occasionally as you really need a whole good weekend to get the shots you want.
I also deal in darkroom equipment and have a few customers who live in Russia/Moscow so you may even know then ;)
