Seriously though, plug the air hole at the bottom and top with a toothpick, drill or ream out a hole lined up with your coil and be amazed at the vapor and flavor you get, i get as much vapor this way as with my ss mesh wick, but granted my mesh does have a "crisper" cleaner flavor if that makes sense.

BTW start with a small hole, you can always make it bigger

This was posted in another thread but links to the info you need about using ss mesh...

PS... the info about using 500 mesh may be debatable, I've read a lot of posts saying that 270 or 320 mesh was better for the same reasons mentioned above... doesn't mean the info is wrong, just that others have different opinions on what works best

Thanks rdsok! I'll check these links out.

Until they make a rebuildable where the coil sits closer to the mouthpiece with direct airflow from below similar to the SplitFires I am giving up on these. The vape is just not enjoyable to me. I believe this stems from the crappy air paths and the huge cavilty which needs to be filled before you are even getting any vapor. And with the metal upper chamber coil enclosures...it's even worse. Way too much heat loss and unnecessary condensation going on.
As far as the TAJ itself. That metal tip is a loser. I drilled my cap out to accept an acrylic tip and it improved a bit, but nothing to brag about for me. I'm still staying with the Vivi's and Splitfires for now. IMHO there is nothing better at the moment for flavor AND vapor AND consistency.
I realize there are many that love these style rebuildables the way they are now, and that's fine. They are just not for me at this time. Does not matter if it's a mesh or silica wick. I experience the same end result. Just my :2c:

Edited to add: So far the only one that got it right is the "Eternity". Mmmmmmm. Must be why it works so well compared to all the others.

I bought one of these and had high hopes, but it completely sucks. I have no problems with the draw. What makes it unusable is the wicking. After taking one hit, the silica is completely dry, then you have to wait minutes for it to wick enough juice to take another hit. Am I doing something wrong here? I am using gotvapes flux juice. Also, I can find very little info on this particular atomizer because of the name confusion. I received some SS wicks with it too but no instructions. Not happy with this at all.

I, too, was concerned with this. After becoming a Rock-n-Roller even with long wicked clearos I wondered if the wicks could possibly keep up with my frequent hits. I vape like Seal Team 6 hitting Bin Laden...hard and fast!:vapor:
