The Gripper Mod

I like this mod for its size and possible stealth usage, but i cant seem to find which cartos would work best with it. i think ive figured out which ohm to look at, 1.7 to keep me in the 8 watt range that i like, but which (preferably black) cartos would stick up enough out of it to not have to use an extender?

XL cartos from any company... smok tech 1.7 ohm XLs... the shouldn't need an extender to work.

I love my Gripper; I use an extender with regular length cartos, and it works great-puts the end of the carto clear of the button; also had good results with 2.5 res cartos, but I just got some 2.0 to try, along with an AW 18350 battery. I have a short extender which puts the end of the carto just above the top-'stealth mode', but the short extender has a floating center pin which makes it difficult to put the carto in & take it out without getting it stuck. If this was all I was using I might invest in XL cartos, but I switch off between this and my Infernos too much.

I got one for grins last weekend at a meet...the XL cartos are perfect...It's a cute little thing huh !

Been looking at the Gripper and the SwitchBack. Leaning more towards the SwitchBack because of the build quality. The Gripper seems to be a little cheesy. The V V is a great plus though. Not sure just yet.

The Gripper is simple, it works, and at $20 is a great value; I'd sure like to see an all-metal version though; who sells the Switchback? might be worth a look
