Well, I got the EMP back together. Barrel lock up and slide fit seem extra tight due to the thin layer of 'paint', which should actually help with accuracy. It tood a little force to get the slide stop/disassembly pin all he way in, but it does fit. I'm excited to take it out and shoot it. Still not too thrilled about the paint job. Stock, they come with a black frame and a flat silver side. Mine is all black. I may just take it to the shop and bead blast it so it's all a dull silver. I think that'll look very clean.

Well, my EMP is trashed. The slide to frame fitting is off and the slide to barrel lock up is ....ed. It'll shoot a round or two, but then it has a failure to feed and failure to return to battery. Big time, like 3". It's not fixable. And unfortunately, Springfield doesn't just sell the slides. If I want an new EMP, I have to buy a whole new gun. $1,200. :(

What brand/armory?

So what's my first upgrade?????? Remember I'm in NJ pined and welded.

From my phone

Primary Arms red dot
Bill Roger's Super Stock (Rogers Super-Stoc AR Rifle Stock),
Magpul angled fore grip (Magpul Industries Ecommerce),
free float rail (Troy / VTAC BattleRail Alpha 11 Inch Model),
Geissele trigger (Geissele Super Dynamic - Combat (SD-C) Trigger)
Vertical fore grip if you don't like the angled fore grip: (Vertical Fore Grips)
Magpul PMags (best AR mags)
Magpul BAD lever (MISCELLANEOUS ACCESSORIES - B.A.D. Lever® - Battery Assist Device – AR15/M16)
Magpul hand guard (HAND GUARDS – AR15/M16 Type Rifles - MOE® Hand Guard, Mid-Length – AR15/M16)
And of course a sling. I prefer 3 point slings. You can transition to a sidearm super fast. Blue force Gear makes a great one! Blue Force Gear

Here's some good stuff: BravoCompanyUSA.com

Can wait to shoot it bro in-law had put over 55k rounds through his ( sniper) and instructor, and he knows it well. So ammo will be supplied and he has the gate keys for the new swat range so I'm excited.

Nice! Do a kill house at night if you can! Also, get Troy tritium sight inserts so they glow in the dark.

God, I freaking LOVE Texas. We can hunt with suppressors now.

I was out at John's yesterday. I brought the 4" Colt Python .357Mag, S&W M&P 360 357Mag, XDm compact 9mm, Springfield EMP (which is now trashed, thanks to USPS :-x), Glock 30, Savage ..22lr bolt action and my FN FiveseveN.
We had cheap little metal spinner targets at ~100 yards. I destroyed one with an armor piercing round with the FiveseveN at that distance. I'm so impressed by how easy shooting and accurate that pistol is. I couldn't believe it.

We set up the the other spinner targets at ~325 yards for the rifles- My Savage Mark II FV-SR w/ a 9x Barska and his Marlin XT17 VO .17HMR w/ a no name 9x32. We were having a friendly competition to see how long we could keep the targets spinning. I hit 8 out of 10 on a 4" target. John hit 8 out of 10 on a 5.5" target. Good times!

I freaking LOVE precision shooting! There's just something about it.

Wait, does the AR you acquired have 50k rounds through it? If so, it needs some maintenance like springs, new bolt and firing pin, and maybe new barrel. While you're in there you may as well either put a nice trigger in or very carefully stone the disconnector with a 500 grit Arkansas stone. Just be careful. You just want to polish it, not remove any metal nor change any angles.

You can send the trigger mech to me if you're not comfortable doing it.

I think when the boys in the Blue Helmets come for them sometime in the next 4 years, they are going to find that a LOT of people had such tragic losses of their property...

I'm not going to get in to politics here. But that will never happen. If it does, I'll die fighting them!

Bushmaster, Thanks shatner im deff going to bookmark a few of them pages, Brothers has been rebuilt twice he is on the 3rd rebuild now it is paid for by the state so he gets a credit yearly for upgrades and he usually saves 2 years then does it. He has had the gun for 9 years now and it has been used and used well, but maintained as well i will try to get a pic of it this week at the range if its done. Talking with him about guns he sorta seems like you kinda knows what and where to get it all.

o and sorry about EMP

No its new out of the box by the way..

Nice! I was worried the barrel was shot out.

I have that same holster for my FN FNP.45. Can't remember the name. Honestly, I'm not really a fan of it. I just can't get comfortable. I'm sure I could if I didn't have love handles, though.

If you're looking for a new holster, check out http://www.n82tactical.com. Their 'Professional' series is incredibly awesome.
