Hey Synth ...

Yeah, I can go play with both ... I did enjoy the 510 on the V2 ... If I enjoyed it at 5.15v, then I am sure I will like it at 4.8v :) I do remember trying the 510 on a non resistored prodigy (which is roughly 5.5-5.6v loaded) and I didn't really enjoy it. will let you know synth!

Thanks Steve, I appreciate it. I've grown to love the 510's on my V1, and I'd really like to replace it with the V2 when it lands. ;-)

i don't understand the love of teh 801! i admit i haven't used it ALL THAT MUCH, but just the few times i've used mine at 5v i just don't get it. it's really light and airy to me, and doesn't give as strong flavor as a 901 or 510.

again, just opinion! i just prefer strong, sharp flavor.
I choose the 801 atty when I ordered because of the bigger cart size. I love the 901 atty for flavor. Is there that much difference in flavor between the 801 and the 901?

Hmmm. That could be a problem for me. The 510 works great on the V1. It's the only PV configuration I use. I was assuming that the V2 would offer similar performance. If that's not the case, I may be unhappy with the V2...

If I am happy with the 510 on the V2, I'm sure you will be :) haha ... I was never happy with anything besides the 801 on HV's before I tried the 510 on the V2 last night ;)

I'm really curious as to how the 510's will perform on the V2. I use a V1 Prodigy with my 510's now, and at ~4.85 volts it's great. However, when I try to run a 510 on my Xhaler (which runs at about 5.5v), it's way too hot and it burns the juice. So, since the V2 will run at about 5.2 volts, I'm wondering if it's also going to be 'too much' for my 510's.

Steve - can you shed any light on the performance of a 510 on the V1 versus the V2?

Thanks!

I just tested my Xhaler again today as i just killed 2 attys and thought another one was going. Unloaded was 6.75v and under load it was 5.90v! 8-o

So... If the Prodigy is truely runing around 5V it should dip below that after the battery wears down.. All should be awesome.

and now ... do you have a preference ? 510 or 801 on the V2 ?

Still 801 - But that is because I am used to it. The amperage draw on the 510 is more than an 801/901 meaning - your batteries will drain quicker. The difference is, you don't have to take the same length of draw on the 510 like you do the 801 - so battery differences really are null and void. I do like the 510 ... I really do ... just not ready to give up the 801 on my V2 ;)

I ordered one today. Got some Christmas money that was burning a hole in my pocket.
I have a xhaler and really like it, almost bought another one as a spare but decided to try something different instead.
I am fairly new to vaping but I really like it and it is keeping me off the analogs.

I think I am going to turn into a collector LOL. So many mods, I want them all!

There is definitely a threshold of pain with the 510, I use mine with 2 CR2 3v and a .5 ohm resistor like the original Prodigy and that works just fine, without the resistor it really tastes nasty and burnt. I suppose that would be the wick burning. I'm actually starting to get sick of 510s, even after a few days they don't work as nice as they did when new. Cartomizers might do the trick, if they taste bad after 3 days, chuck 'em.

BTW Steve, did I tell you lately about my Prodigy V2?

I WANT IT!!!!!

I got my order in early this morning for a Prodigy V2 full kit, with 510 adapter plus I added 2 more battery's, having 3 sets of battery's I will not have to worry about charging them as much. :)

LOL I have 4 sets for my V1, and I ordered a full V2 kit, but I plan to keep my V1 going strong by getting a mechanical switch for it. It'll be my reserve PV. I simply want to be done with chinese sticks for my backup in case anything happened to the V1. I will feel much more at ease with a V2 in hand. Can't wait! :)

Awesome. Just what I was hoping to hear. My V1 is practically glued to my hand at this point, so the V2 is probably destined to finally set it free!
