Anyone have one of these yet? I have one that should be coming in the mail today. I was wondering if any current Immortalizer owners have any cool tips or tricks for setting this thing up. Later today or tomorrow I will post some picks of my setup for it. From all that I have heard the unique airflow in this dripper creates a really top notch flavor, I can't wait to try it out. I can't decide whether I will try mesh, cotton, or silica first.

I live in SD, we might have got ours from the same place, and hell yes it was expensive for a dripper!

Did you get some bakero wire to go with it? The way the posts are set up its made for ribbon wire, although you can still set it up with regular.

I need to play with mine more today when I get home... Been super busy with work ever since I got it. But so far I've got a 1ohm coil with bakero wire in it. I'm not used to this ribbon tinsel wire stuff yet, so it didn't come out like I had hoped yet. But whenever I get something new my 2nd coil on it always seems to be the best. You learn so much from the first coiling of any new device.

Let me know how yours goes. I got high hopes for this thing.

Got it today and have had a chance to mess around with it quite a bit. It's not the easiest to set up. As far as difficulty I would say it's on par with an Igo-L. Not terrible, but takes 5 minutes of concentration. First I set up 4 wraps of twisted 30 gauge on a piece of SS mesh and I had no visual hot spots, but I could taste one and couldn't work it out. Oh well first attempt is a failure. Next I did 4 wraps of twisted 30 on a folded over piece of silica. The vape was way too warm for me, this thing doesn't flow enough air to support that build. Now I have a 3/4 of regular 30 gauge on folded silica and wow this thing puts out great flavor. The air flow channels are very unique and allow you to overdrip and it just pulls the extra juice right back into the wick. So far this thing seems very cool.

Here's the build I got on mine right now. 3mm silica folded over 3 times, 3 wraps of bakero wire. Come out too .8 or .9ohms. It's true the atty doesn't have a ton of air flow with the stock holes, but one thing I have noticed is when you screw the inner sleeve on, if there's any silica laying on the side it will get caught in the lower threading and cut off a lot of the air flow. Keep an eye on that for sure. Also, mine is the version 2 Immo. I ended up positioning the silica loops on the inner walls so they didnt block the hole like in the pic. This way when i drip the juice will fall directly onto the coil.

I just set mine up in a very similar way. I'm using cotton yarn and the flavor is great. I've noticed if I use yarn in some of my other atties that I get a chewing on a t shirt aftertaste, but not on the Immortalizer. I am running 3 wraps of 30g kanthal still. I need to pick up some flat wire sometime soon and give that a try. Anyone know where you can get spare parts? I'd like to get an extra ceramic, a sleeve, and some post screws. I know I'm going to lose a post screw at some point, those things are tiny.

I almost lost a post screw already, was looking in the carpet for like 30mins for it but finally found it.

Not sure where to get extra parts yet. A black outer sleeve would be cool.

I wish i lived in SD so i could pick up one of those it looks like vaperoo is the only place in the states you can buy an Immortalizer.

Local Vape in Costa Mesa should have then as well... Not sure if that helps you, can't see where you live wile I'm on my phone.

California definitely has the connection on the phillipino vape gear as far as the US goes.

How are you guys feeling about the tight draw on the Immo? I don't have any ribbon wire, so I've been using my usual 28 g Kanthal. That was pretty tough to get the wick situated.

I was thinking about drilling two more holes in the outer sleeve to help with air-flow.....anyone want to tell me how that would be a bad idea?? lol

Thanks pAth, that's exactly the info I was looking for, cheers!! :toast:

When I coil a wick, I always do it the same way... capture the wire with my left hand, and then wrap to the right. With the way that comes out it makes the wires sit above the silica wick which makes the silica bellow block the air holes on the ceramic.

With the immortolizer you need to wrap it the other way... capture the wire with your right hand and wrap the coil going left. That way the coil ends you place in the positive and negative clamps of the immo will be underneath the silica, which kinda lifts the wick up above the ceramic so it flouts above the air hole.

I didn't explain that very well, but ever since I wrap it going the other way it works soooo much better. I'll see if I can post pics when I get home. I need to recoil mine anyway.
