Newbie ignorance, my apologies.

No apologies needed. We were all there once, and how the heck do you find out if you don't ask :p

Ok all of you who have had a vv 3.0 for a little while. How is average battery life compared to say a regular eGo spinner??? Also what is the consensus of the best topper for out and about but still not look odd??? Will the Kanger T2 fit comfortably on it??? We plan on using these as back-ups to use on bike trips in lanyards so want a little durability.

As said, 1300, if that's the size Spinner you're talking about, will give a lot longer vape time. As also said, having at least two kits whenever out is smart. Stuff happens. So two VV3 might be a fine setup for you. I like the T3S and Evods, preferring the bottom coils, but the T2 should also be a good fit. A pouch type lanyard for the VV3, as standard Ego lanyards don't fit well - you have to put on a 510 to ego adapter, and then the ring will still let the VV3 spin around. (Or the right size O-ring on the body.) You could also put a slim carto tank on it if you want, or a mini PT or mini Davide glasso.

I always decapitated my ego style batteries. The top rivets have stopped this from happening so far with this one. I much prefer it over any ego style. It uses a usb charger and has a digital display with VW as well. It is basically a mini MVP.

As I have said before, if I could only have one device it would be the MVP but I actually use the VV more often. It is just more comfortable in the hand and I am a bit of a chain vapor.

I use an ego/510 adapter on both the VV and the MVP so they will play well with the T2.

I love my itaste VV it gets as much usage or more than my VTR AND vamo. Personally I like an iclear16 on it for simplicity and it fits and looks nice on it. But I use a whole variety of stuff on ot as well. Right now have a Texas tuff tank on it with beauty ring. Aesthetically not as good but I love carto performance.

1300mah spinner beats 800 mah vv3 for sure. Still vote vv for durability... I have both but stopped taking spinner out n about since I got my vv3... Vv3 lasts longer than I had expected- good for me while im out. However, I still never leave with just one set up.

I may pass then. I have two 1300mAh SI (vGo) spinners and the life on them is terrible. I get twice the life out of my 900aAh pass thru batteries. As I said these would be used mostly for lanyard use on the bike. I would still have our MVPs in the tour pak for when we stop.

Hey, this is great news, since as I said, I'm about to get a black eGo-C Twist 1300 mAh as a backup unit, the price I've found on it is just so amazing -- it'll be a good one to take when we go out and about. I don't have a car charger yet, so anytime we're out in the truck, I'm always afraid that if we don't get back quickly enough, the iTaste will run down. Of course, after I order that twist (prob Thursday) it'll be probably about 2 wks till I have it. I did look at FT since their shipping is free, but their price isn't nearly as good as from this place in Hong Kong. The HK place also has a pouch-lanyard for $1.07!! Can't beat it with a STICK!

But, those 3-pk coils I got yesterday? I ordered 2.2 ohm instead of the 2.5 like what comes in the t3s when you buy it, and I don't need to turn the voltage up nearly as high to get a good vape, so that should help too, with the iTaste's battery life.

It's www.e5cigs.com -- don't even know how I found it, unless it was in one of those GOTSMOK deals newsletters. It might very well have been, their prices on some items (most of 'em actually) are just mind-boggling. But don't go buying up all the twist 1300s, I want one. :D

Have you ordered from them before? The broken English and low prices are a bit sketchy. It feels like my money will disappear or I'll get a bootleg.

Have you ever looked at the FastTech site? The english isn't a bit better there, and the prices are also very low. Considering that this generation of e-cigs originated in China, I don't think we can really use the "bad english" as any kind of guidepost when buying this stuff. The lack of knowledge of colloquial English does not signify any lack of morality or ethics.

(PS: and have you looked at the english usage, syntax, grammar, and punctuation of half the people on this forum???)

PPS: they also accept Paypal, and if you have questions about their veracity, then use paypal to pay them -- because if it's a fraud, Paypal will fix it. Paypal also will not allow fraudulent sites to use their service.

I believe e5cigs is associated with Chinabuye.com, a company I have used several times and am very pleased with. Some prices better than FT, some not. Chinabuye.com also offers free shipping and shipping time is, well, China :). I believe they are associated because I get newsletters and both companies are on them.

Look, I've never used FastTech. I learned the hard way that you double check when dealing with companies outside of the US borders. Even using Paypal I've had bad experiences. When you lose $2,200 on a single corporate purchase, you learn to ask. Paypal isn't always the most helpful company to deal with. It took about six weeks for them to get the $2,200 back in to my account.

So, climb off the high horse please. Most people may not ask, but a lot of people make purchases from these sites and hope they don't get screwed.

ROFL!! Well I have to admit, I use this bad english guidepost when I look at email, to determine if it's spam -- 9 times out of 10, poor english DOES mean spam. But with e-cigs getting their start (yes I know about Mr Gilbert, but the US didn't jump on it on '63!) in China, it's not a reliable indicator at all. Their language is so different from ours, it's no surprise that it's difficult for them to learn it.

I don't see a high horse anywhere. When some nefarious g00ber tried to bill me thru paypal but had disappeared from the web, I called paypal and got it straightened out ASAP, and got that company blackballed off Paypal. I'm sure there are bad days at paypal just like anywhere else, but *my* experience with them is that they don't put up with fraud, no way, no how, no sir.

I've never used FT either, mainly because of the shipping delay, but their english is just crap, and everyone here just swears by them -- when they're not swearing AT them, of course. :D

Re: T3S...for someone new/lazy...work these work for "rebuilding" the T3S...

"Pre-coiled Welded Wires w/ Wicks - NR-R-NR"

$2.33 Pre-coiled Welded Wires w/ Wicks - NR-R-NR (50-Pack) 50-pack - 33 AWG / 2.0ohm / 4-wick at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

I'm new-ish... not exactly lazy, but I'll answer to "mechanically inept"... I figure when I've been vaping for maybe 6 months-ish, I might get into rebuilding just to have some new activity to occupy me, but till then? Replacement coils, please! Or these cartos I'm starting to get into. However I did learn that there is nothing for me to fear, with dry-burning, which is why I was interested in wicking material; my thin juice just runs right thru the coil, if it doesn't have sufficient wicking on top of the coil.

You'll want to avoid "welded" there has been University of California study that shows these welded type wires actually show nano particulate of tin and other welding type metals into your lungs. Needless to say, try to stick with kanthal or nichrome wires and bring welded.

Figure it's better to be safer and not tenor fate.

I'm about 6 months in and waited until the beginning of this month to get info rebuilding. Waited until I felt somewhat comfortable.

I had planned on using kanthal, it seems the most popular, and I read a post somewhere in which someone said that nichrome wires in their coil had made them feel quite sick.

So, if I don't use pre-welded wires, what do I do? I'm certainly not a welder! :D
