Webby has Tshirts on the way and I donate 10% of the proceeds if people buy the CASAA ecig cases.

I'll also raffle off one custom ecig case for every 1,000 people who sign the petition! (Your petition number is your raffle "ticket")

Thank you for everything you do to support the movement, kristin!

I think a lot of these controversial ideas are great.
They grab attention, and hold people accountable.

I can't speak for them, but I doubt that CASAA wants to go in that direction.
I think they intend to keep things very professional, and probably that is best.

It wouldn't help us out if they got labeled as extremists.

On the other hand, it would be great to form a splinter group with no affiliation.
The sole purpose being to pursue some more controversial approaches.

Agreed that some of these ideas might add to the conversation, and agreed that CASAA is not the organization through which these particular tactics should be implemented. CASAA has earned a reputation as a grass-roots organization that represents the "mainstream" vaper, and the credibility derived from that is a valuable asset that its leaders are wise to protect.

Pretty creative--the only problem is most people have such a bias of anything related to tobacco and those who use the product that I fear the attitude will be"just quit!" That seems to be the prevailing attitude. It is hard to convince people of the immense benefits ecigs will provide to those who use the product and,I might add-to the community as a whole. The prejudice is overwhelming.

Luisa, I believe you are correct and that is my fear as well - the prejudice is overwhelming. And as such, the task of "winning over public sentiment" seems insurmountable. I think we can only do it through appealing to the publics' "bottom-line" - MONEY. We need to get the message out that this is a "Public Health" issue and not just a smokers' health issue and perhaps more convincingly, that allowing a 'safer alternative' to smoking and promoting Harm Reduction when it comes to the use of nicotine will pay Huge PUBLIC dividends i.e. far less loss of worker productivity, substantial savings to state and federal health care costs-which translate into personal health care savings for EVERY individual, lower cost insurance premiums-or, at the very least, compelling statistics to argue for lower rates, substantial decreases in residential and commercial property losses due to tobacco/smoking related fires, significant savings through decreasing pollution-both air quality and ecological-littered cigarette butts, decreased morbidity, allowing "former smokers" to live longer, thus contributing more in terms of productivity and taxes, etc. I am sure there are more significant benefits to the populace as a whole that I've not mentioned here but I feel strongly that we need to be not only educating the public about electronic cigarettes and what they "really are" but also
"WHAT'S IN IT FOR THEM!!!" Does that make any sense?

I think if we could put it in the form of a question like , What would it mean to you if there was no more second hand smoke or smoke smell ? That way it effects them personally . People tend not to get involved in things that don't affect them . Allot of non smokers live with smokers or have family members or friends that smoke that they love but don't like being around their smoke .

It'd be cool if we could enlist the help of some art students in say, New York to construct a "black wall" (of cardboard or fiberboard) that looks exactly like the Vietnam Wall in Washington D.C. with 400,000 pseudonyms on it to represent the lost lives in the past ONE YEAR to smoking-related disease, with the urgent request posted somewhere - "Please help stop the carnage!" "Stand up to Stop the War against safer alternatives!"

This would be soooo great.
