Are there wattage markings on the pot (or on the PCB around the pot) used to set the wattage ? I.e. 3 , 3.5, 4, 4.5 etc ?

Is there a way to hookup an external device to read the current wattage setting ?
I.e. if I wanted to be super fancy and use something like an Arduino to read the wattage setting and show it on a 2.5 char display.

I am in no way part of the development for the Kick, but i highly doubt there would be one for the "drop-in-tube-mod" chip.

but the rumor mills say there is a different version coming later on that is meant for modders, maybe that version would have wattage/voltage readout leads.

There are hash marks around the POT for reference. There are no outputs on the drop in Kick, though it has been rumored there may be modders version of the Kick at some point which may or may not have outputs.

I just hope its easier to read for us with crappy vision......:2c:

From the video it looks like its not the easiest to read, but it still shouldn't be too much of an issue. Pot all the way to the right is lowest setting, all the way to the left highest setting. I think it'll be mostly "set by feel" instead of knowing exactly where you're at.

Since 10w is the high setting I would think if you like LR atties on a fresh battery you can just kick her up to high drop her in and call it a day.
