vape my Cisco (1,5 ohm) and DC´s(also 1,5ohm) min. @ 4,3V.. max 4,6.. So i Hope that 10 watts are enough. CJ explains the count-way (i hope that word is right -German: Rechenweg)
Dual coils are unique in that they spread the heat very differently than single coils. So, while the watts numbers sound high - the vape is actually cooler. A 1.5Ω dc is actually two 3Ω coils wired in parallel. Meters, and devices with the ability to read the resistance of an atty/carto, will read the combination as only 1.5Ω. Mathematically, and from the technical aspects of electronics, you may be
vaping 4.3v X 4.3V/1.5Ω=12.33 watts but the DC vapor is probably closer to the temperature of a single coil 7-8 watts range (rough guestimate). If you tried to run a single 1.5Ω coil at that heat (your 12.33 watts example) the coil might pop. When using dual coils the power is getting split between the two higher ohms coils so the vape is very different.
I have vaped 1.5Ω DCs on unregulated 6V and it is a nice vape (to me feels like a single coil at about 8.5-9 watts). DCs have caused confusion for those using these more advanced PCB devices ever since both the PCB devices and DCs came out. The first version Provari had issues with DCs because DCs demand a higher Amps flow than the Provari (1) circuit board was designed to handle - so the device would give the user an error code. Using your example (1.5Ω at 4.3V), that combination demands 2.8 amps and the Provari 1 allowed a max amps flow of 2.5 amps (I think). The newer Provari has a higher max allowable amps flow (3.5 amps I think) specifically to allow for the DCs. As you may know, Provari digitally holds a fixed voltage as compared to Darwin and Kick which automatically adjust the volts and amps to maintain your set watts (expressed as heat in
vaping) level. Darwin has no problems with DCs (because it has a much higher amps flow capacity) but the device caps out at 12.7 watts (high enough for your example but some DC users like it even higher). 12.7 watts is almost intolerably hot vape on a single coil but for dual coils, because the power is divided across the two higher ohms coils, 12.7 is still a cooler vape for some people.
Personally, I am not a fan of the vape and flavor I get from DCs but all in vaping is subjective (we each like what we like). The Precise Plus is a more efficient (less lossy) tube device and you may be pleasantly surprised at the P+ performance with the Kick. DC users who like a hotter vape may still prefer to use them on unregulated devices but 10 Watts on a Kick is a great vape. As a single coil user, I prefer 2.8-3Ω coils and vape very consistently in the 8.5-9 watts range.
