What's the amperage cut-off on the Kick? Watts are extremely helpful, but only to the point that the amperage (current) is available to deliver. So you're getting 2.26 or 2.27 Amps with that setup....it could be perfectly normal (as designed) since I don't ever remember the Darwin pushing past 2.2 Amps on the display, despite the "12.7W" limit.

Pretty sure I saw someone mention 6 amp limit on the darwin in the darwin thread,

I've been playing with my a Darwin over the past few days and I don't think VW likes DCC's as much as single coils. My single coil 3.0 ohm boge cartos are great at 10 watts but my 1.7 ohm Smoktec DCC's suck at 10 watts.

I've done that, buGG ;-) Well, I've hit 5.8 amps, anyway. I had a shorting coil the other day on a genesis setup that was metering at 0.4 ohms. The Darwin still fired it just fine.

As for the Kick, I'm not sure what the current limit is on it.

For those having issues with it firing, clean the inside of your top tube, whether it looks like it needs it or not. The connection between that and the ground spring on the Kick was what was causing me the most trouble. I still have one IMR 18500 that it won't work with and have no idea why, but it is now working consistently great with my other 18500, my 18350s and my 18650s :)

I haven't paid much attention to juice consumption, not to mention I did for a while switch back to 6v on my UFS. As for run times, here's what I've experienced with the batteries I've used so far. I haven't paid much attention to where it's been set, either, but I think I've kept it mostly between 7-9 watts

CoV branded 18350 - ~2 hours (on a 2 ohm Ody coil)
Avid Vaper branded 18500 - can't get it to work, yet
Nhaler 18500 - ~4 hours, maybe a little more (3 ohm atty in UFS)
AW 18650 1600mAh - ~6 hours and 3ml of juice (3 ohm atty in UFS)

i received my kick today. i installed it in my ss ggts and it works half of the time. so i took out the ss telescopic tube and replaced it with the brass telescopic tube which is a lot tighter so it hits consistently. from what i can recall imeo made the ss threading loose so maybe that might have something to do with the inconsistent firing. i would suggest trying the brass one - it may help with the firing.

Chances are you are correct about the tube because good contact between the kick and the tube provides the negative connection. I added an LED to my volt meter so I know whether I've got power through the Kick; then add the atomizer to get a readout.....just something that works for me.

The kick is treating me good right now with a fresh dual coil carto. The vapor and TH is amazing.

I still want Imeos GGVV though, it's probably the #1 on my 'want to buy' list.

+1 I will Be reporting on the Kick as soon as I get it, should be Monday. If not I will have to wait a month before I can try it because I leave for training on Tuesday Morning and won't be home for a month.
