Huh, Eleaf again. I like the big deck, and you say better air and flavor than the Kayfun. I am using a Kayfun to learn and tinker on....I think I see a Lemo coming. Thanks!

The lemo is easier to build on than a kayfun IMO, because of the large deck and screws, and yes the air flow is massive compared to the kayfun, I highly doubt you would be disappointed in the lemo if liking the kayfun.

Second day on the lemo. When I cleaned, re-wicked, and re-filled it today I realized why I was feeling a bit of a lag on my draws. The stock 1.1 ohm coil is a wide macro-style coil with 26 gauge wire (says 0.4mm in the manual) and I was vaping at 14-15 watts so it was taking a while to heat up. Cranked it up to 19.2 watts on this refill and now it's hitting perfect. Since my istick is 20 watt max, I think when I build my own coil I'm going to aim for around 1.3-1.5 ohm with 28 or 29 gauge kanthal so I can turn the watts down. I do like the wide macro-style coil with the coils going slightly past the air hole on both side, though. Downloaded the Microcoil Pro App on my phone today so I can play around with different types of set ups before I start building.
With the wide deck and big air flow this thing is almost like an RDA in the form of an RTA. Defiantly a great option for dripper fans who want to try a tank.

I got my Lemo today, building coils is harder than it seems. I'm lucky the coil it came with is 1.1 so the istick can function with it. I gave up on building a coil today.

Are you trying to get the wire into the deck holes? If so that is very hard for sure. I've ended up just pinning the wire down with the screws like a Kayfun

I find it's easier to thread it through the hole by unscrewing the center pin so the positive deck moves a little to the side, slide ur wire, then tighten again

    Got my Lemo today:

First off I am in no way an RBA expert. I own two "knockoff" Kayfun Lite +'s
    HT1V9bhFIlbXXagOFbXY.jpg

Bought at a local B&M for $25.00 plus tax.

I just got them within the last month.

The Lemo is large and I like the amount of liquid it holds, I also like the fact that it has a glass tank.
I find it too airy, even with the airflow turned all the way down.
I find that I get better flavor with the Kayfuns, but more vapor with the Lemo.
I am using the stock coil at 1.1 ohm but I replaced the wick with organic cotton, I use organic cotton on the Kayfuns also, but my builds are 1.9 ohm. (I don't know if the ohms have any bearing on the flavor, as I said, I am a relative newbie at this)

Overall, I like it, but I like my Kayfuns better.

Do your own build :). I think you'll find the flavor improves substantially. Your 1.9ohm coil probably has more surface area and no spaces.

I attempted to build a micro coil the wire is springier than I thought it would be. I squeezed it with tweezers, it bounced back out to not touching, then squeezed while torching allowed it to cool then released. Again it springed back out. Maybe I need to put more pressure when wrapping. I need to make a youtube video of my efforts. I'm sure it would be hilarious. I'm not to the trying to get the tails of the wire pinned down yet.

I don't know if you mentioned it, but what gauge wire are you using?

If this is your first time coiling, just throw it on there!! It doesn't have to look pretty, it just has to work.I find it easiest to keep the coil on the drill bit (or whatever you're wrapping around) and go ahead and trap the leads. Pull it a few mm off the deck, pull the drill bit out and fire your coil a few times. Then fire again and right after you let go of the fire button squeeze the coils together and hold for few seconds..

This can make ugly coils pretty. haha. Hope you get a successful build going soon.

Just coiled my third Lemo. It's been sitting unloved in the box for awhile. Nothing exotic, just a single 24ga, 3mm job, wicked with rayon. Not sure how many wraps exactly - probably 11 or 12. I just kind of eyeballed it. I was shooting for around 1.2ohm and it meters at 1.18. I also raised it pretty high off the deck.

Although it takes about a half second to heat up at 28W, it's a great vape. I like using 24ga much more than 26ga or 28ga. It's just easier for me to work with. Even though it's a good bit of metal, once hot, the large coil sizzles off a bunch of juice. With the big coil raised high and the airflow wide open it puts out. Nice flavor and great vapor production. I think this will become my preferred build for the Lemo. I like it better than my .7ohm 26ga parallel build.

Yeah I already bought one. Now I just need to get some Japanese cotton or rayon. Do any of you guys who have tried both have a preference? Is it just a myth that rayon has a weird taste at first?

I find the opposite... Cotton always starts with a taste for me for the first tank... With Rayon, I get no extra taste from the get go.
