I'm running two 2.2mm coils stuffed with Rayon, but I thinned the tails considerably, like maybe 1/4 of their total volume, so you can definitely see the deck surface on mine. I just adjusted the tails to where they are directly over the juice channels and sitting on the deck surface against the chamber wall/chimney base (or whatever you want to call it) It doesn't take much wicking material to keep these (or any atty) from leaking: You just have to cover the juice channels.

No issues here also but then again I don't really lay my mods down horizontal, always vertical. I got my replacement glass tube from vapercompany! those guys are awesome. I build mine a little different, thinned tails and I do use the so called "glue method" I dab the tails with liquid and carefully push the end of the tails next to the square block keeping the tails somewhat fluffy. Then I screw the chimney base and keep the juice channel open, like when looking straight down on the deck with the chimney base attached I can see both juice channels open with no part of the tails covering it. I do it that way because my liquid is thick and with the colder weather it gets even thicker I need all the juice flow I can get and its been working great for me. But if I were to use a thinner mix, my tails would be on top of the juice channels. I do need to drop my nic level down a bit, light headed with rayon wick.

wow, I don't see how that would work. If the channels are open, then juice will fill the chamber, regardless of what viscosity you're using.

I do the same thing as thraizer. i glue my wicks to the base as well. I can see my juice channels as well. I build it just like a kayfun, and I do not have any problems with leaking or gurgling.

With the kayfun almost every video you watch, people tell you to make sure you can see your juice wells, or it will not wick properly.

I'm definitely going to experiment though. I'm going to try to wick it like pbusardo does in his review by just stuffing down some wicking material, and see how that compares... Ill be honest, Every 5 - 10 hits or so I do get a dry hit... I've definitely got some more experimenting to do.

What device are you using?

Innokin MVP

I don't use microcoils, I wrap resistances the usual way, slightly apart, 5 or 6 turns of 30 ga Kanthal on 4 turns of 3 mm silica. Should work but no... Women have this problem with suction power, specially when too airy a draw. My husband with bigger lungs gets more vapor out of it.

I've been hovering around the rayon thread and came across some posts about open coils or coils that are not touching, evenly spaced out coils. Used to build spaced out coils back in my vivi nova days. Did a build 27g kanthal, 2.15mm ID, 1.5Ω on rayon wick. Vapor production slightly diminished but it definitely bumped up the flavor. I think with rayon, spaced out coil works pretty good compared to a coil that is all squeezed together.

I'm so happy to see so many positive things have been said about the lemo, I'm getting an Istick with nautilus bvc to start with, and I'm thinking the lemo will be my first RTA, First Rebuildable! I'm gonna shoot for 1.4 ohms and try making a vertical coil. I hope it's awesome. If I could clear up a little confusion I have I believe 28awg wire wrapped about 6 times will get me close to 1.4. Which direction does this go 30awg would need fewer or more wraps to achieve 1.4?

As a first RTA, I don't believe it's necessary to complicate the build and wicking with a vertical coil. A simpler horizontal coil will also give great results.

28ga wire is thicker then 30ga wire, therefore 28ga wire has less resistance then a similar length of 30ga wire. With the same coil diameter, 28ga wire will require more wraps then 30ga wire to achieve a similar resistance.

For your Istick, I would recommend working with 28ga, or perhaps even 26ga when building the Lemo and building a coil with a 2mm ID or greater. Currently, I'm building coils for mine on a 2.4mm precision screwdriver.

Plugging the number into a coil calculator, 8 turns would get you about 1.4Ω-1.5Ω.

However, I think you need to build down to about 1Ω on an Istick to get the full 20 watts. My current build for use on my 30 Watt device is 10 wraps of 26ga wire at 2.4mm ID for about 1.2Ω. I enjoy this coil in the area of 18-22 Watts.

I'm running my Lemo with a 1.1 ohm microcoil. 6 wraps around a 5/64" drill bit with 28 gauge. The flavor and vapor production is perfect for me. In fact, I have since recoiled all of my Russian 91s exactly the same and love it. Depending upon the juice being used I set my Hana somewhere between 18 and 22 watts.

I'm running a 1.4ohm currently. I built it last night. Was going fr the same 1.6ohm I had in it and must have missed a wrap, lol! I think I like it better though.

You have an Istick, right? Will it go the full 20 watts with that resistance?

My wife is the manager of a local vapor store and they got the Istick in about a week ago. (I thought it was awesome for the size and price) I tried two different atomizers on it. My Lemo built at 1.2Ω and the store owners Aerotank Mega which was reading around 1.7Ω I believe.

With it in VV mode (I didn't understand how to change it to VW at the time) it would only go up to 19.2 Watts with the 1.2Ω, and 14.4 Watts with the 1.7Ω.

Does it behave differently in VW mode? Even at the 19.2 Watts with the Lemo, I was impressed.
