Watched pbusardos vid on the new kayfun v4. Well only the first 5min. Stopped watching when he announced the price. $180.00. I'm gonna order one right away......errr.....ugh.....not so much. Must have 24k gold plated contacts.

:)cig

Yea that price is beyond ridiculous, you can get like five Lemos for that amount of money. Maybe the kayfun V4 is better, but it sure as hell isn't five times better.

Yeah 180.00 is outta my price range but as nailz said not that far off for initial release product. I'm sure the clones will be cheaper but I don't understand all that re-engineering eg. 4 juice passages, 4 terminals etc and then only provide one air passage. What the heck?

My lemo is on order. Thanks everyone for sharing your experience with this product.

The Kayfun 4 does have some pretty cool and unique features, but it does seem a little "over-engineered" in my opinion. I don't get why pbustardo raved about the fill method of the kayfun 4 but gave the lemo fill port a thumbs down becuase it was under the bottom 510 piece (for some reason non of the popular youtube reviewers including him mentioned that you can use the included o-rings instead of the screw to plug the fill port, if the screw was the only option I would kind of agree, but that o-ring makes things a thousand times easier). Having to screw and unscrew two different parts and closing off the air holes and then doing the same thing but in the opposite direction seems a little over complicated to me, taking your tank off the battery and unscrewing one bottom piece seems a lot easier to me, plus I think this set up is why the Lemo is almost leak proof. Don't get me wrong I love pbustardo's videos, he's probably my favorite youtube reviewer, I just didn't get this.
No more kayfun talk! This is the lemo thread haha.

Getting back on topic, I recently built a 1 ohm coil with 26 gauge kanthal on one of my Lemos and it is freaking serious. This is the lowest build I've done so far (1 ohm is the lowest resistance that will fire on my istick, so it's also the lowest that I could build) I was actually trying to get a 1.2-1.3 ohm reading, but the coil looked and work good so I decided to roll with it. I actually had to close the air flow a bit and I dropped my voltage wattage way down (3v/9w) because it was a too intense for my taste. Even at three volts the vapor production, throat hit, and flavor are off the charts. I don't know how people vape sub ohm coils at like 50 watts, that would kill me, I do use menthol liquids though, maybe if I was using a different flavor that wasn't as "in your face" as menthol I could crank it up more.

I am surprised (honestly, not surprised), that pbusardo didn't blast the KF4 for having a spring in the conductive path.

He wouldn't shut up about it when he reviewed the Expromizer. Apparently Svoemesto doesn't even trust the spring for builds under 1Ω.

The conductive spring, the crummy AFC adjustment, and the over complicated base section are reasons enough for me to pass on the KF4.

Now eliminate all that crummy-ness with a lite version that has good airflow, and give me a call.

I totally agree, all of those extra bells and whistles seem to be more trouble than they are worth to me. One of reasons I love my lemo (the original kayfun-style build in general) so much is that its a simple design but it works great and is very easy (and pretty forgiving) to get working. I bet once the kayfun 4 clones come out people are going to have a thousand different problems with them, a clone of a device with that many pieces and adjustments sounds like bad news to me.
Like you said, I would actually be interested if this new revision was a lite plus with bigger airflow and maybe a few other minor adjustments. That's basically how all of the other kayfun upgrades have been, same basic device with a few tweaks, they really went out in left field with this one.

9W on the istick is about 13W on a normal mod :)

Honestly, subohm builds are easily vapable at the correct power for the build. I bet you will try it as soon as you have a mod that can fire it ;). Airflow is the key.

I remember reading somewhere on here (it was probably you haha) that the istick puts out more power than it says it does. I see that there are some of those bending adapters floating around ebay, probably gonna order one, I wonder if this will fix this.
You're probably right about the subohms, it seems like the longer you vape, the more you want out of it. When I first started vaping I though my ego twist with the ce4 clearos were the end all be all, look at me now haha.

Just got my lemo drop! Wub.

Question: I was disassembling it for cleaning, and it looks to me like the rubber oring/gasket on the top of the glass tank is stuck/attached to the glass itself. Is that supposed to be the case?

You can peel it off the glass and stick in the ring in the top cap. They aren't adhered to the glass but sometimes they do stick on there pretty good.

Looks like I'll be needing to get one of these if/when my VaporShark (I have to stop myself from always typing "vaporshart" and giggling like a 10 year old) shows up. You guys in this thread have convinced me. Build quality seems very consistent, and that's what drove me away from kayfun clones. (that is, the INconsistency with QC on kayfun clones, just to be clear) I still prefer a Taifun GT but that just ain't gonna look/carry right with a VS.

What's the go-to place for these, anyway? Eciggity?
I know that's been addressed, especially post-black friday. But I figured I'd ask again just to be annoying.
Not really.
