Anyone have issues where after you fill the tank and it doesn't want to wick after you had just had a perfect tank and it wicked properly?

That usually indicates it's been overfilled. Leave a nice sized air bubble in the tank when filling.

If it's to late for that, I usually use both of my thumbs and forefingers to cover the air holes on the base and pull on it a couple times to get things moving again.

I keep seeing people say this but I find that this just not entirely true.
I've always filled mine completely, and in a few instances until it dripped out the top.
If you listen as you are filling, or re-filling you will hear air escaping this is air being pushed out the chamber and from the air flow control.
Once filled or re-filled and you have the fill hole resealed screw/rubber plug, clear the chamber by holding it upside down and blow back threw the bottom with a paper towel to catch any drippings, turn right side up with your air flow adjusted where you need it, screw on the bottom cap/510 take a few long hard primer pulls and you are ready to go again.
This is not a kayfun that you can only get about 3/4 full at best no need to treat it as such, fill it up and vape on.

Just my personal experience with it. I've had it happen a handful of times, and it's always been after an overfill.

Great to hear! how did you end up doing the wick?

I stuffed the coil with rayon. Then i sat for 10min and trimmed and trimmed the ends with scissors just right, so all ends are slightly touching the base of the deck where juice comes in. Put the chimney on, then i split the wick in two just a tad so i can see the juice hole.... think of letter "V".
Its also easier to work with Rayon if you put some juice on it, makes it easier to mold it and place exactly where you want it to be.

I might also mod the chimney a bit so a thicker juice flows better.

So I have had a drop for a week or so and have finally gotten this thing working right. Took me 4 builds but now it working like a champ. What I did was follow rip trippers build for the kayfun, where you make Z with the wick and lay it horizontal across the deck against the center post wall, leaving the juice channel completely open. The other thing I did was switch to a thinner juice, honestly I think this made all the difference. Some people claim they can chain max VG on these, I could not.

Flavor on this thing is almost as good as my magma and the vapor is much greater. A strange thing I noticed is that I use a lot less juice with this than on my Magma, strange.

Another poster recommended to add 4% of water to thin out juice.

And thinner juice does work better over 30watts (0.5ohm coil). With sicker juice you have to prime the wick more often, do to juice channels being too small for thick juice to flow faster. Im going to drill mine out next time i rewick my Drop.

Currently got it at 1.7Ω and 14-15 watts. Using the KGD.
Ends touching the deck and away from the edge of the chamber , vape is good.
Filled it and at the start liquid was probably a couple of mm below the bottom of the top cap.
Probably 60vg 40pg but just guessing this juice started at 70pg 30vg but I added some vg.
This build I have the coil higher above the air hole than previous and its doing better.

I am getting irregular leaking from same build and have no idea why. One tank fine, refill and it leaks. Used silicon plug, went back to screw, same thing. Not sure if it's leaking from the hole where you fill the tank or airflow tube. Anyone had similar issues and figured out? I don't fill the tank all the way, wick I doubt could be an issue (KGD). I am lost. And frankly, frustrated.

That holds the 510... The knurled bottom deck

Im not sure if it's what you are asking, but I try to not to over tighten when puting it together. Will go until it stops and not past that. Maybe your threads are a bit funky. Yeah, I know, that doesn't help at all.

Never had a problem with the bottom deck , screws on and off like a dream.

Couple of times after i filled it and turned it up the outside was a bit wet - Figured when i was filling it with a bottle that didn't fit inside the fill hole some liquid was getting out through the air holes.

Been great all round

How do you guys deal with a stuck bottom piece

I would disassemble from the top (top cap, glass, chimney)
Grip the building deck and 510 base knurling (with pliers if necessary)

I haven't had to do this yet, but sounds like it should work.
