I was SO self concious about how I smelled as a smoker. I don't think it helps anyone to subject anyone to put-downs. My lighterless cigarettes have provoked a LOT of curiosirty from people, and that's an opportunity. Every person who quits smoking cigarettes is cause for celebration! I LOVE the smell of my house now. It smells lile lavender and cooking. The fact that I CAN smell things I could not before (both good and bad) like being able to smell milk as it's just starting to turn - not milk that has already soured. I also have a better sense of taste, and oddly. Colour looks more vibrant to me so I'm wondering if there has been some impact from smoking to my vision. I've always had pretty good eye sight (except night vision) but that also seems to be improving and colours just look brighter.

I'm not sure about the vision, but I know I smelled like an overflowing ash tray all of the time. I used to smoke outside at work and then come back in and wait on customers. I always felt sorry for them. I would even try to stand as far away as I could when I talked to them. Most smokers know they stink. They don't need to be reminded.

I never really thought I smelled too bad. After every cig I would wash my hands, pop a mint and go about my business.

However, tonight me and my lady went to the club to see a friends band and an afterparty later on. We came home and both reeked of cigarettes. What a revelation! Just hanging out with smokers made us smell horrible! This is what we smelled like everyday when we smoked! That's motivation enough to give up analogs.

If it wasn't for the PV we would have been bummin' smokes off of people at the party. We both survived analog-free!

The Good:
Smoking inside
Being able to have just 1 or 2 puffs
Sneaking puffs in places I could never with an analog
Never needing a lighter
Never running out!
It really does look cool, not just thinking it looks cool

The Bad:
Mocking remarks from smokers
When you go to vape and your battery is out!
Can't just go to the store and get more carts
If you fall off the wagon, people make comments that it doesn't work

I used to smoke 20 a day, then went to just vaping, then fell off the wagon when my gf destroyed my two attys (don't ask!) Slowly getting back to vaping!

I can smell somebody light an analog several yards away. Was over at a buddy's house, sitting in his living room and he lit up in the kitchen. WOW! My nose would have never picked that up before!

I hear ya! A buddy of mine came over to borrow some juice because he had run out (waiting on his order!). My first words to him were "You had a smoke?" He grinned at me sheepishly in confirmation.

I never realized just how strong the smell of cigarette smoke was in the 20 years I smoked.

Shocking!

David.

Not having to pay $11.90 a pack here in New York City every freaking day.

Wow, and I thought the $5 or so here was outrageous... Heck, when I first started smoking, I could get a whole carton for about $6.00! Not that I have to worry about the cost now! :D

It's amazing how fast the price of cigarettes went up. When I moved to Canada in 97, I used to pay $24 for a carton of 200 cigarettes. Now, it's $90. Individual packs as high as $11 something. Can you say inflation?! RIDICULOUS!! Glad to be rid of that habit for cost as well as obvious benefits to health.

Being able to keep up with my kidlet at the park,
being able to walk to town and back in record time!
Having something to distract people from the trenchcoat and large spiky earrings (keeps people away usually, but it tends to work the opposite way on a military base)
Looking at our bank account and knowing we're saving 400plus dollars a month (YAY)
