...The other trouble I had (which is why I went to using the grommets) is that the OD of the clearo is slightly larger than the cap holes on my "purchased" tanks, it must be a hair bigger than a 510 - otherwise I would have just slid the sucker into one of those ...:)

...Oh, gotcha. Yea, the clearo tubes are thicker than a standard 510 steel. The new tube on the latest version clearos is the same thickness as a 3ml BD syringe but stronger. I couldn't fit any of them in the M1A1. I have a ton of 3ml BD syringes to. lol I tested the fit of a 306 in BD Syringe and it's too loose but with the atty cap on it fits tight. Definitely not a replacement for the atty cap but it could work as an extender.

That's a good and interesting idea - I've got some 3ml syringes around here as well - my problem is that I only had the one 306 atty and have long since lost its cart.

But, if it fits snug into the syringe with it - that eliminates the problem of how to get it to reach the top of the tank - extending it to make it fit was something I was having troubles seeing around.

How would a DT work with that?

All this modder talk makes my silly little head spin. Scarlett, if you want me (Rhett), I'll be washing the dishes.

I'm with you... this got too technical for me several posts back...

But Pokey, I'm glad to see the inner modder in you is coming out for a visit!

Thanks for guilting it out of me, Mod (and PI)

Great minds, Mod; I keep telling you! ;)

Thank you for the offer on the syringes - I will have to check and see which ones I have. I am not sure I have the B-D and if not, I'll give you a holler/PM. :)
No problem. Glad you shared. It definitely gave me more ideas to think about. Plus I enjoy seeing what people come up with since there's a lot of tell about this bit very little show. lol

You mean our inner nerd came out for a visit. lol This idea is a really cool one because the only other offering of this type of mod will cost you a couple hundred dollars.

Hmmm... I don't wear glasses. Never really thought of myself as a nerd either. But shortly after I picked programming as a major, I was told that is where all the nerds were! It seems even the networking guys are cooler then us! Oh well I love what I do, so if that makes me nerd so be it. :p Maybe I'll have to get a pair of glasses.

What about a Fusion in the 1.5" tank? Is it too short? I know on the MAP Tank it uses a short piece of tubing in the end. I wonder if that would work.

BTW Lowboy I love that avatar of yours.

The Fusion is definitely too short for the 1.5" tank. It would need about a 3/8th" extension to just barely be able to use the 1.5" tank. (It would probably be best to extend it a little longer than that)

A 1" tank is a nice size for the Fusions. The absolute largest tank that would work with the M1A1 endcaps on a (un-extended) Fusion would be 1 1/8"..

That bubbles you see is condensation inside the clearo. And, as with other clearos, while vaping you can see the vapor inside as well...

Great Job Pokey! Very Impressive. Glad to see you jumping into the Modding scene. :) It can be fun and addicting (as well as time-consuming and frustrating, lol) :)

Missed all this last night, going to try it today, maybe, think I got some 306’s somewhere.

If it’s working as well as reported Mike can stop working the VVPV and I’ll be looking for something to do with my new bottom feed wooden box and the COV 510 Bottom Feeding Hybrid Atomizers I just ordered, STORY OF MY VAPING LIFE, first I spend a year experimenting with every E2 and tank combo that comes out till I find how to grind holes in the bottom of Fusions NOW two years of getting atty’s to work without dripping is solved THANK YOU now I’m going to be getting rid of my VV atty feed systems WITH the big box of E2’s and tanks.

This looks so neat !! But I think it may be above my learning curve (which makes me very sad) I am using inferno's and a SB (had a Screw driver , sad story there.. suffice it to say R.I.P good buddy) anyway's , am wishing someone sold all the thingy majigs needed to use this in a nice little package. No needed slot making and the such,.. Then I would leap right into the fire !!

MWA gets all credit KW - I was just fooling around with bits and pieces of scraps I had; a less than perfect set-up at present - but promising... :)

I don't know if you already have a Dremel, but you could be selling yourself short Kenzi.
It is really fairly easy and you could practice on old cartos until you felt more comfortable doing it.

I started out on a Screwdriver and it got me free of cigarettes. Even tho I no longer use it, I can't seem to part with it.
Kinda like an old friend, I feel loyal and somewhat indebted to it. After 43 years of smoking, that Screwdriver had me on vape day #2. I started using it Nov. 2010 and haven't smoked since. :thumb:

Best of luck to you regardless of what you do...just do it.

I used to use an AFS and used an old Dremel Workstation to drill the cartomizers. Basically a mini-drill press and cost about $40. Piece of cake. I used a 1/16” drill bit and never had to slot. It took longer to measure and mark where the hole goes than drilling it.

Thank you Roscoe and Vermonster13 . I probabley could use a dremmel or a poke through stuff thingy . Which atty or is it carts <?>would I need and where does the hole need to be? Feeling low on the learning curve again. I did google a vid or two but they mostly showed it put together and vaping, which didnt answer my elementary questions ..so once again, I am feeling a bit intimidated by this intriguing new thingy . I feel I Must TRY it , lol , I suppose I will have to search some more first though . Damn learning curve, when will I catch up?

As for the dear departed screw driver . I really liked mine !! My sister made great fun of me and said it looked ridiculous . Making my sister giggle was almost reason enough to use it ! The problem was that the button got stuck on and well that went poorly burnt a couple digits unscrewing the thing to make it stop cooking and have yet to order a new button . I may order a new button but again I may not. hmmm?

Thanks for the replies and support ! I enjoyed the idea of just Doing It , and may ..or maybe not ..LOL
