Not sure if 1" would work on a standard 808, due to the connector part eating into the useable length.
(inconsistent to go to the trouble of two sizes, but then have the shorter one not work for 808 cartos; several mm of that dead space are also the drip cup area)
Buzz...
Do you know if these will hold up any differently to cinnamon oil juices than the ones currently out there? I have a feeling I know the answer but i wanted to ask it to be sure.
Thanks in advance!
As far as I can tell there should be NO corrosion the aluminum is anodized ( VERY good coating ) the the Polycarb has no effect at all so you should be good to go IMO .
I dunno what it is about the cinnamon juices, but they eat polycarbonate. There's not a tank on the market that can handle them.
thus my concern....I was hoping and still am Buzz was able to find a tube material that handles the oil better. We will see...
No clear plastic's available that can deal with it, AFAIK. I guess you could make a tank out of some kinda of hardcore glass, like Pyrex, but that introduces a whole 'nother set of problems... It'd be pretty darn difficult to shatter Lexan, the stuff that bulletproof glass is made out of and the trade name of Polycarbonate.
It would be way close. Bottom 4 mm are lost/useless, only have 31 mm useable. A 28 mm tank would only leave 3mm of carto outside the tank at the mouth end. If there is any o-ring extending past the tank, it would cut into that 3mm.
I'm thinking more like 22/23mm, but I don't know if that would have enough tank volume to be worthwhile.
( that is part of why I made my earlier post, not sure if it would be effective to have a tank that is only 22 or 23mm total length - how many ml would that hold?)
I actually never thought of Lexan...i wonder if it would work...hum...off to google i go....lol
Lexan=Polycarbonate. Same thing, only one's the generic and one's the trade name, and it's what the Buzz Tank is made of.
SO you are saying that the Cinnamon juice EATS polycarb ????? man I would not vape that if I were you But I am not so !
Polycarb is bad ... stuff it is used for nasty chemicals etc. read this http://www.gallinausa.com/pdfs/polycarb.chemical.resistance.pdf
page 5 etc.
Yep. Tears right through it. Supposedly Cinnamon Oil is on the No-No Vape list, but a bunch of vendors still use it. It's probably still better than cigarettes, but I ain't vaping that crap.
When I was in the Glass business we used to put Lexan in businesses that kept getting their windows knocked out for burglaries. That stuff was damned expensive too but you could throw a cinder block at it and it wouldn't break.
