OK I was using a Ce2r4 carto and was not getting good wicking DUHH REALLY ! , so I drilled a hole way up on the tube near the top and guess what !! it feeds near the top now with just laying it down . we will see if it floods now LOL ! ???

You need a bigger hole/slot.

Asked and answered. Using Pyrex or anything else would introduce a whole new set of problems. Shattering being a big one, but increased cost also being a huge hurdle. You'd prob have to get this tube custom made, and all of a sudden we're talking about a $100 tank.

Even the UFS uses a Polycarbonate tube. It's the only practical material.
what about the possibility of using pyrex or fused quartz tubing? I've found that polycarb tubing does NOT like anything with malic acid in it (cinnamon and sour apple, and a few other flavors.
