I just got my quarterly newsletter from Saint Lukes Cardiovascular Consultants and was very pleased to see a whole page article actually touting ecigs and stating there is no evidence they can hurt your heart. That should probably be posted somewhere on here. I have also noticed blu ecigs has a national commercial on tv advertising their products. The FDA is gonna have one helluva fight on their hands.

Lorillard tobacco the people who make newport cigs bought blu cig out that is why all of the commercials have started popping up theres even a snoop dogg music video with blu in it now. This could be good or bad for the industry lorilard has the money to fight to keep e-cigs legal and has been working with the gov for a long time at the same time they also have the money to meet regulations that could be set up by the gov like having large bonds and inspections and taxes paid on the e-cigs this would also drive up the prices and limit product to what the They want to sell. The same thing happened with them and small tobacco stores that had the roll you own machines it got popular philip morris wanted it to stop and they got the gov to put an end to it

I joined today too, though I'm rather pessimistic about the whole thing. When the anti-tobacco movement was first launched, it was all about "clean air", but when you remove that as a justification for the tyrannical usurpation of human rights, then the fascists only show their true colors. It's not really about "healthy" vs "not healthy" or any of that. That's just the smokescreen. The purpose of oppressive laws in an oligarchic structure is to expand police-state power for the purpose of effecting and maintaining population control, and it's happening across the broad spectrum of human activity, not just with e cigs. It's really that simple. Frightening, but simple...

Few days ago there was a story on the "newspaper" that European Union will start to make a new "tobacco-law" in 2014 and it will start in 2015/2016. Because the law what works at the moment is too old (dated 2001/2002)
Some points were written out:
1) analog cigarettes cannot be flavoured anymore (e.g. menthol)
2) analog cigarettes minimum diameter must be more than 7.5mm (so no more thin cigarettes what women like)
3) analog cigarette pack must be covered with warning pictures (atleast 75% of pack size)

ALSO e-cigarettes will get new regulations and "not allowed places". im sure that this "not-alowed-to-be-flavoured" will also work with e-juice also ....

In my country e-juice is not regulared at the moment because its not classified as a tobaco-product BUT nicotine e-juice is not allowed because its a "drug" so you need a licence to sell "drugs" but you cannot get the licence ...
so everyone is ordering it via internet and just hope that it will not be taken away on the border (customs). it works at the moment :D
if i go to local e-juice/e-cig store then theres allways nic e-juice "under the table" , it just costs more. 10ml 18mg is 8€ ...

the echange rate of the Euro is 1.32 Dollars=1 Euro. So $10.50 for 10 mls, or over a dollar a ml. Sorry to hear about that price. That is a bad deal for you guys. Stop the man's ban, open the markets! We pay about sixty cents or .6 dollars a ml here (prices vary). That is the price on premium juices. You can get cheaper ones for less, but why mess around with second rate juice??

The bottom line is MONEY!

Same reason why the Hydrogen Car got abolished which cost GM over 9 BILLION dollars. The government couldn't tax Demineralized Water!

The government didn't think about a way to TAX e-cigarette hardware and liquid nicotine. Now they are scrambling around scratching their heads wondering how did they miss the opprotunity to charge $15 for a 2 oz bottle of flavored nicotine.
