Someone new to vaping is receiving this tank through a friend along with a cuboid 150w. I'm fairly new myself but I want to help her help. She's craving cigs and this was suggested as a better setup than the rx75 and cubis pro. I suspect I'll have to help her build on this tank but I'm confused is it an RDA or rta? And also what wire would you suggest to start with for beginner builders?
Links would would be helpful. Also suggestions on beginner kits for building..

Thanks to all.

Unfortunately I can't comment on the Mutant X, no experience with it. However, I can recommend SS316L, you can use it in regular Wattage mode or play around with Temp Control. I've been using 26ga, but it does ohm out lower than kanthal, so maybe go for 24ga. Either way, use Steam Engine tool online, or download a vape tool, it will help you keep your ohms from getting too low. I hope this is a helpful starting point, and that you two stay off the cigs.

I believe the Mutant X is a dripper tank, which I wouldn't suggest to someone just starting out. A newbie needs something simple and straightforward.
Not necessarily. For many new vapers, absolutely, the simple and straightforward route is the way to go. Keep in mind though that all new vapers are not alike, as I know of more than a few that started with RDAs and RTAs and for them, it worked just fine.
