Yes, yes, what a wonderful way to tie up law enforcement officers. Never mind such things as murder or armed robbery.. no time to fiddle with that when potential smokers have to be stopped, inspected, taken to stand trial and then clog up the prisons. Duh......

Additionally, Oregon state would lose some of its tax revenue, since it currently receives about $1.18 per pack of cigarettes.

I never wish to trivialize this terrible point of history, but it is disturbing to see similar tactics being used. Unending flow of false information, heads in the sand attitudes, the marginalization of people, it's all there....

People who refuse to learn from history are bound to repeat it. It's disturbing that merely 70 years later, so much has been forgotten already.

No, it didn't pass ... this time. We must remain vigilant. Especially with the grants from BP, UN, TSET, TCOR, etc funding bans.
My husband got so upset with me when I shared what I'd learned about the money trail. He said there's no way the UN would be a big funder, they're just as broke as the rest of us. But after I showed him Turners billion dollar funding, celebrity donations, COUNTRY DONATIONS with USA in the lead with 22 million/billion I forget, ... He suddenly caved. I liked it better when he was mad at me. :(.

I remember hearing about this on the radio just after he introduced the Bill. It was never going anywhere, and Rep. Greenlick knew it, admitted that he proposed the bill only to "raise awareness" about the health effects of smoking.

Oregon's legislators are pretty much worthless and about as crazy as the ones where you are, sadly.

I appreciate the candor. I rarely use the imagery of Nazism because I absolutely can not begin to understand what occurred 70 to 80 years ago.

I must admit I am fascinated with the Shoah simply because it is so incomprehensible. It is a stain on mankind. Something that should never happened. The more I read on it, the wider the net of responsibility must be cast.

The United States had a pretty good idea on what was happening in places like Treblinka and Auschwitz-Birkenau and still refused to bomb the railways leading to these factories of death. One has to imagine how many lives would have been saved if the Nazi's had not been able to transport the vast numbers of people there.

That's funny to me, because it's rumored they use sex, durrugs & rock n roll (entertainment) to distract us from what's going on until it's down to the wire.

The worst horror to those in power are citizens who see behind the smoke and mirrors, the fake smiles and the lies of "all for your own good".

But all over the USA liberty groups are fighting.. & have come to the same conclusions of exactly what we're fighting. Groups who fought individual battles of liberty, of rights are now seeing the bigger picture. Civil unrest, in a big way, is drawing near. Got charmin, beans, & bottled water? YouTube how to make a rocket stove out of food cans, refrigerators out of clay planters, water cachement from tarps & rain gutters, etc. oh how the list is long & time apparently short. But awakening is top priority. Liberty will win.

Yes, yes, that sounds familiar. Maybe it is time that We the People showed the rich and powerful that We are the People. And that no, our existence on the face of this earth is not a privilege granted to us by those in power. To be limited, restricted or taken away at their whim.

But awakening is top priority.

Well, for most people there comes a time, a point in time, when they wake up. And when they stand up.
As soon as the rich and powerful cross a line. A line of extending repression into people's private lives. And that line is being crossed. For many. Right now.

I agree, although I will say that I don't buy into the "rich" part. Unless they are also powerful (ie government officials). I would like to be rich, I have nothing against rich people. But I have a problem with a government that uses the riches of the people to garner itself more power, and its people less freedom--which is what is happening.

Something else has been nagging me. In many comments, articles, anti-tobacco/nicotine/happy groups, have been strange "consensus" data tossed here & there over the years.
Smokers are mentally impaired.
Smokers are minorities. African Americans, Native Americans, Poor, etc..
Vapers are smokers
Etc

I really detest fake science & "concensus via fake science.
But more importantly, what is the point? History sheds a lot of light on this...

Might I suggest that our resident ANTZ also take a look at those studies ... I correct myself.. might I suggest that they read and comprehend

Anjaffm, I like your fighting spirit. But if we're going to call out other people about reading comprehension, I hope this will dissuade you from continuing to call other members here ANTZ. Read and comprehend, because I think it is a clear definition:

ANTZ <snip> Being anti-smoking but not anti-smoker or anti-nicotine does not make one an ANTZ. Bill Godshall and Dr. Michael Siegel, both champions of vaping, are "antis" in their own way but are certainly not ANTZ. (Bill supports smoking bans and other tobacco control policies, which some consider anti-smoker, and Dr. Siegel is anti-tobacco). There are many anti-tobacco and anti-smoker (some even anti-nicotine) vapers but they aren't ANTZ, either. To be an ANTZ, one must be anti-nicotine AND anti-tobacco in all forms and beyond reason. "Antis" can have their minds changed and may listen to reason. I created the acronym to distinguish the "antis" from the ANTZ.

Since {most} vapers here either vape nicotine-containing ejuice, or still smoke as well as vape, they don't fit the ANTZ definition.

I know you've only been here since September 2013, but many of the ECF members you have called out as ANTZ and 'mouse vapers' and whatever else (and I inlcude myself here), if you bothered to do a search on their postings, they span months, year, or years, and involve giving advice on hardware, coil building, using different mods that they have owned, elqiuids (both purchasing and DIYing), help with nic level determination for new vapers, participating in PIF and giving supplies to others in need, and generally, being "in the life" of vaping, for a long enough time that it would be a real s-t-r-e-t-c-h to call them ANTZ or anything even closely approximating that.

We don't all agree on every "little thing" just as you and i haven't agreed on everything, including mouse vaping and such, but overall, almost all these members have been here for each other, and for New Members, for longer than you've been calling them names. I know I have, and I have a very extensive history in posting about technical topics, not just political ones.

I think I could mend any any small misunderstandings we have had, and actually start to enjoy you more, but the calling out of FELLOW VAPERS on this board as ANTZ is not serving us. Do you think it is?

I just don't think it should be part of the conversation, 99% of the time, and there is a 1% posting pattern with a few newbies over the years coming on here, making 6 posts, all of them anti vaping, then disappearing.

(of course, we also have those same people, I calll them HIT and RUNS, who post just to rile up vapers, and there was one here recently called Fired For Vaping. Not one aspect of the guy's story checks out and he disappeared after gracing us with his presence. ) I bring this up because as Truth Seekers, we have to cover our own side, too. IMHO. ;)
