The Name Should Have Been Changed A Long Time Ago

I believe the the vaping community should have never let the electronic cigarette name stick. In my opinion this is why the Government is calling vaping a time tobacco product. Where is " e-liquid " a tobacco product ? Except for the nicotine , but caffeine is in soda and soda is not considered Coffee . I just stopped Stinky cigarettes for couple weeks and it's because of vaping that I was able to quit . Nothing else I tried helped me . I'm just so nervous now that I'm enjoying my taste and smell coming back and my breathing getting better day after day , thus wonderful alternative is going to be taken away because our Government and Big Tobacco need people to get sick and die for population control and money . My response emails from joining CASAA.org all these senators and representatives consider Vaping a tobacco product and if we as a community can change or make them understand that it's not tobacco things might be easier for us to keep Vaping with no worries. I apologize for the rant but I feel Vaping is saving me and will save me if I'm able to continue to do so .

I believe the ship has sailed, and it would be pretty difficult to change the name now.
Along the same lines, I said 4 or 5 years ago that vaping should never have been promoted as a smoking cessation tool. It immediately opened the can or worms involving the FDA and Big Pharm. I've always felt that vaping should be promoted as a smoking alternative.

I agree , but it isn't an electric cigarette it never has been . It provides vapor and if you choose nicotine. So in my opinion what it was called should have been something to what it is and what it produces. I think the electronic cigarette name was used to grab a smokers attention , because as you know we as smokers don't want nothing to mess with our stinkys. I know it's way to late and a shot in the dark , but in my opinion if cigarette wasn't in the name I believe it could have been looked at in another way by people who don't understand and know what it is .

No argument there. But as soon as they began being marketed as such, they became a target for Big Pharma and the FDA. If they had been marketed as a smoking alternative, rather than a smoking cessation tool, users who were intent on quitting cigarette smoking would have realized it anyway. Sometimes, things are better off unsaid.

I agree. I hate that it is called an electronic cigarette. Although, with cigalikes I could see that. However my nicotine delivery device looks and feels nothing like that. I think that people wanted to distinguish it from "vaporizers" used for other purposes perhaps. I prefer pv to p.e.n.i.s. though

We could have called them glowing glass of satisfaction and it wouldn't have made a blind bit of difference everything that is happening would still be happening. You hit any corporations revenue and they are going to go after you, sadly so many politicians and government bodies have been bought and paid for by multi nationals it's just easier then it ever should have been.

I quit smoking cigarettes 6 weeks ago and started vaping.... I don't know what I would do without my vape now. It has worked for me and countless others. You see 10+ ppl a day on here that are saying they quit cigs an started vaping an love it.......what can I do to help? Because without my vape I feel I would prob have to Resort back to cigarettes, which is exactly what they want me to do and thats the last thing I wanna do.
