I hit another brick wall trying to make my own VV version of the NoEgo. I can't make a small enough board myself... I did a layout of the board with pad2pad and got it to the correct size I think but they wan't like $60 to manufacture it. There is no way I am going to spend that much and not know if it's going to work properly =] My biggest concern is if the POT will line up correctly.
I will probably see if I can find someone or somewhere that can make the board for me cheaper. For right now I am going to just cut a piece of prototype board to see if the position of the POT is correct...
Here is the board I have designed. It is a simple PWM circuit from one of the threads in the Modders forum. All of the components on one side and the switch on the other.
To make this work properly the polarity is reversed so that the positive is the body and the negative is the center contact. This means you have to put the battery in upside down.
Maybe some day I can make this work...
