My name is Sasha and I am from the USA. This is my first post after a lot of reading. My New Minicig arrived Monday. This is NOT an advertisement, I hate the "reviews" as much as you do. My e-cig history:
1: Heaven_gifts super mini. Great vapor the first day, after a month not much.
2: e-cig.com mini (black). " " " " , after 2 weeks not much.
3: Jane's Janty Yentl clone. " " " " , after 2 months not much.
4: Janty yentl Kissbox. " " " " , after 4 months not much.
5: E-cig.com New Minicig. Billowing clouds of vape the first day, first cartridge lasted 30 hours with moderate
vaping, battery lasted 10 hours at a clip, billowing clouds of vape every time I screw in a new cartridge.
My first experience with E-cig.com: They took my money for the 2 minis with express shipping very willingly, I sat and waited for a month and recieved the cigs. Mini number 2's atomizer went kaput the first day, steel wool came off the bridge. No response to emails. Ever. Took my lumps and went home. Never planned to order from them again.
So I ordered from them again, as I love the idea of a fresh atomizer every day, and Loongtotem's prices, although competitive, did not make me want to pay $100,000,000 for shipping and still get only one battery. So, e-cig took my money willingly for the large package (2 batteries, charger, and 84 carts). Immediately I got an email stating that they would dispatch my order in 3-5 business days. Five weeks later, I got my "large" package. They had sent FOUR carts, instead of EIGHTY-FOUR. Arrrrrrgggggghhhhhh. Not again. No response to emails. Crossing fingers. Something tells me they will send the carts, as earlier in this thread it was mentioned that the carts are what is holding them back.
So, believe it or not, I am HAPPY. Build quality is excellent, not like the minis I got from them. Packaging is the same, if not more efficient (smaller box). USB charger is a bonus, allowing me to pocket a charge source that I can use anywhere. I carry a small (1350mah, 3.7V) litium emergency brick made to charge cellphones, and I figure I could charge for a week or two with it... So I screwed it together and wow, it is TINY. The smallest and thinnest cig I have owned. It is also very light, allowing it to be held like a real analog cig, and almost light enough to dangle from the lips. But not quite. Took a draw (a very, very easy draw) and BAM!!! Enough smoke to choke a horse. Like I said, I smoked the first cartridge for 30 hours without topping off at all. Vape was pretty consistent, only trailing off a little in the last hour or so of vaping. Not wanting to barbeque the paper coil, I opened the cart and filled it with some Ruyan No. 4 (yum!). I am still using the first cart today (Saturday) with no problems. Five days on one cart. Nice.
I know a lot of you are calling BS. But this is what I have found in a somewhat bittersweet experience. E-cig's customer service is the worst I have ever experienced, making me feel like I have been outright scammed at times, picturing them laughing amidst a confetti parade made up of my plentiful US dollars. But I cannot deny that this cig is the BEST I have ever used, producing more vape on the fifth day than any of the others did on their first day.
There are a few advantages to this design that I will point out:
1: Obviously, a new atomizer with each cart gives "new e-cig" vape every time you switch in a new cart.
2: This cart can hold easily 4 to 5 times more liquid, because there are no "inner" cartridges taking up space, no separate mouthpieces, and the walls of the cart, being metal, are MUCH thinner.
3: Instead of the atomizer being at the very bottom of the cart, the coil is smack dab in the middle of the cart, so it draws liquid in from all angles. The old style carts would dry up at the atomizer end, with a bunch of unused juice trapped in the upper half. This cart uses ALL the juice. Hence, my 30 hour claim seems to make sense now...
4: Because of the design, the carts do not get hot, only warm.
5: The channel for air to flow from the battery to the mouthpiece is fairly large, allowing for a very easy draw.
6: There are no "slots" where the battery and cart interface (all the air is drawn through the battery instead of being mixed at the battery/cart connection). This allows one to hold the cig with the fingers without the fear of blocking these holes and burning out the atomizer.
7: Everything is allowed to be much more compact. I like to travel light.
8: No gurgling. A quiet cig is a stealthy cig. Good luch trying to conceal the stratocumulous clouds of vapor though...
I think that's it...
You may notice that my New Minicig looks a bit different than the pictures you have seen... I was filling the cart and made a mess so I decided to peel the "label" off the cart. Underneath was a beautiful satin finish steel. So I decided to lathe off the pain on the batteries using a dremel. Looks nice I think. I also smoothed the plastic "ash" on the ends of the batteries. I then replaced the somewat loose rubber cap on the cart with another battery end (cannibalized from an e-cig mini battery) that has a hole drilled in the center. I LOVE the finished product. It looks a lot less like a cigarette, so I should get a lot less "excuse me sir, there is NO SMOKING in this establishment/ flying fortress...
Last pic is ALL I have to carry to smoke all day (other than the cig itself). Spare battery and cart go in a slimline aluminum case with the "rubbers" on to keep things from rattling. The "stick" in the picture is a length of 0.8mm carbon fiber rod with a grommett on the end, for removing the rubber endcaps of the carts, and to clear the draw channel of any stray liquid...
Hope you guys liked my New Minicig review/ rant/ rave!!!
