I haven't done a review before but thought the new Echo deserved one. I've been vaping about 17 months and I've tried most standard PVs on the market 901, 801, 510, various egos and Rivas with many different atty and carto combinations. I have had a couple of Mods the Buzz and Indulgence and then I tried the Go-Go. It was the best I ever tried and I still love it but I always liked an automatic battery although the old ones didn't work well and had their limitations. I read about the new Echo and it had an auto battery with the same carto design as the Go-Go so I decided to give it a try to satisfy my curiosity. I wasn't looking for something to replace my beloved Go-Go but was interested in the new 2nd generation automatics and this is what I found out.

The automatic battery is amazing. It isn't set off by loud noises or frequencies. It responds immediately to dragging on it without any primer puffs and is very similar to taking a drag on a cigarette. You can get it with either a 650 or 1300 battery. It has a 901/808D connection and is compatible with other 808/901 devices.

The carto is a cone style with a bottom horizontal coil design and holds a full 3ml, I've actually got 3.5 ml in a new blank carto. It wicks perfectly without any burning or dry hits. It is very efficient on juice consumption. I'm retired and chain vape most of the day and a carto will last me about 12 hours. They advertise you can get 100 refills on a single carto. I can't verify that yet but I know my Go-cartos last weeks instead of days and I have yet to have a coil pop or cease working.

Will this supplant my beloved Go-Go? I don't know yet but I sure am enjoying vaping with the auto battery. Time will tell if it is as consistent as the Go-Go. You can buy a 1300 mah kit for 50.00 at Cropduster901.com Tony at Cropdusters is a good guy to deal with also. :2cool:

Thanks, txtumbleweed! Nice to read a review by a fellow retiree, rather than all these young whippersnappers.:D

I ruined two of my Leo batteries (original unsealed design) with e-liquid seeping in from the Leo cartomizer. You've not experienced anything like that with the Echo batteries? If they are automatic, they must be unsealed, right?

These new designed cartos simply don't leak. If you remove the carto from the battery when re-filling and let it set for a few minutes even if you overfill it it doesn't leak at all. The only problem one might have is using a different carto or atty with the battery. I don't know why anyone would want to unless it was the only PV they had and wanted to test some juice on a different smaller carto. These new 3ml cartos are working awesome. I actually got closer to 3.5 mls on a new blank carto and just refilled it and got just a few drops short of 3ml on the refill. I used a syringe on filling them so I know exactly how much I put in. I'm really enjoying vaping with an auto again although I find myself searching for the button or pushing on the side with my thumb when taking a hit.:2cool:

Cropduster is a really good guy to deal with. I've phoned him several times and he has always been available. I think you will really enjoy the Echo auto it is really enjoyable to vape. You can get cartos here if he is out. 3ml Cartomizer for ECHO eGo Electronic Cigarette | Echo 3ml Cartomizer | Prefilled Echo Cartomizer Blank Echo Cartomizers Cropduster has a much better price on the kit than they do but their cartos are cheaper. I ordered some but haven't received them yet.

Yup THX Txt, I thought however the Echo E carto held less than the Native 901 Echo Carto, I thought the Echo native held 3ml's but the 510 held something like 2.3 has this changed or it never was or is true ? I spoke with Tony just a little while ago, nice guy very helpfull, I'm very much looking forward to trying the Auto Batts and thats what swayed my decision from waiting and ordering the Echo E Carto's plus the extra liquid so I had thought anyway

I believe you are correct the echo-e will be smaller and I believe it is 2.3 or something like that. The url I sent is for the 901 Echo. At least it is supposed to be. There appears to be a typo where it mentions ego but on down it says they are 901 and will not fit ego type 510 batteries.

Hey TX I agree. I have been looking to simplify things since I started vaping 2 years ago and trying every modification.
Now trying to keep it simple. The echo is now my all day. Auto does seem like going backwards but this thing really just works without fiddling. Keeping it simple is the way to go in my older age I guess.

That is what I like too, the simpler the better. The Echo seems to fill all my needs, a carto that lasts me 12 hours and an auto battery that lasts me 17 hours or so.

I will second on the non leaking on the cartos. I tend to overfill a bit and once I see a drop or two out of the bottom, I blow through it, clean it up and even after sitting all night, there is no leaking at all - I fill them at night and set them on a kleenex so I would see any staining from drips.

In that very long thread in the eGo-type models forum about many different fat batts, I believe someone said that the Echo vape is similar to the 801 and Leo, which happen to be my two favorite atomizers/cartomizers.

Can anyone here comment on that?

It was Johnnybass that made that comment. I'm liking the Echo better everyday and sold one of my Go-Gos to buy another Silver 1300.

It seems there is a difference of opinion on how much the Echo-E holds versus the Echo carto. Are they both 3 mil? What ohm rating do they have? Can they be run on a 5v box mod? I'm really looking into these...

I have a echo and use the cartos on my provari's as well ohms 2.6-2.8 yes works on 5v on my vari's i do the cartos at 4.5-5v they work good no leaking.Don't know if it's 3ml. never checked at least 70 drops to fill up when dry.

They both hold more than advertised which is a switch. lol I have got very close to 3.5 ml in a new echo carto and almost 3 ml on a refill. The echo-e holds a little less because of the recessed cone to fit on egos. It is advertised to hold 2.3 but they are getting about 2.8 on a new one. I haven't filled one yet but I'm expecting the maiman to bring me some to try any minute now.

Well didn't get my echo-e cartos but did get my shiny new chrome Echo from johnnybass and I got just a few drops short of 3.5 ml in it. Boy it is a pretty one.
