I guess I would like a little more detail to what exactly the expanded guts on the reborn head solves and to what extent the problem was previously. I've torched two heads in short order with the first 10 PBC's I've used. I'm assuming that is the problem? At 20% mortality rate, yes, I would consider that a problem Am I understanding the reason why the guts were redone? The description keeps saying it also improves the performance. How? Just wicking? That has never been a problem for me. I've had far more problems with the inner seal fill hole tearing with the syringe puncture than I have the heads (I've since solved that problem). Would just like to hear from other folks. Thanks.

honestly i can't find any fault with the old ones... the only thing i do when i first start a new one is take trim the wick a bit so it's not completely blocking both holes.. then it lets air out and wicks perfect.. i have two genesis attys.. the DID and a Z atty pro and dare i say the old ones perform so good i enjoy vaping them more than the genesis attys.. which is saying a lot..

i hope someone can post a review since mine came as 808 which i can't use yet

Bad mentioned the bases were redone to better the connections so I assume that was partly the reason although the only ones I ever toasted previously were due to excessive dry burns. I did have a few that quit when using a watered down juice and actually gave an E1 on the Pro Vari and then worked again after cleaning so maybe some kind of shorting was going on.

I have three going now with 30PG/70VG juice in them and so far so good. The actual vape seems the same. At least they did not ruin that. The seal may be different. Hard to tell. Same style but it seems a tad softer because it feels far easier to pre-pierce the opening with a needle than it was before.

I can tell you the 808's only hold one ml compared to the 1.2 they used to hold. I did not notice but I hope they are not being called 1.5ml still. I can not give any info on the 510 style because I was sent the 808's instead. If I notice anything else on the 510's when I do get some I'll post. You can be sure that they as well will hold .2ml less than the originals.

I have not broken one down yet and may in the near future When I do I will post any pics which may be of interest.

I just goe my reborn's.
One thing different is that the 510's are a sealed bottom (no hole) and the 808's have a much smaller center hole on the threaded end. I assume this should limit condensation from the vapor that the old one's produced. Yes, it is very apparent that these will hold less juice.
I don't see any droplets that would indicate primer, but I'll give them a vodka rince first jut to make sure.

Now to filling and vaping them.....

I just ordered 2 boxes of these. I hope they perform like the others, I never had a problem with the first version. I would say they are the best carto out there. It's what I use 95% of the time.

Bad or Dan my order #1060189
I have never had a wrong item shipped from u guys, but I see some here have.
Can you just double check and make sure I get the 510's. I have no adaptor.
Thanks

we understand there is a loss in ml form the old ones but it had to be done to make a better carto, we can have them made longer if people ask for it

and it is better!
iv really been putting the first out the box, thru the wringer.
i guess if i wanna go out after the work day, i better bring anotherr BC.

So far I’m liking these new Phoenix XL Reborn’s.

I have used 3 now, 2-510’s and 1-808 all 2.4-2.6 ohm.
Juice used is 70/30 pg/vg from Sweet Vapesm Mrs. T's Bakery and Pink Spot
Battery: KGO, Twist and 78mm Volt for the 808's

Pro:
The sealed bottom of the 510 and smaller hole on the 808’s. There is little to no condensation on the battery terminal using these.

No leaks so far…not a drop

No fine cracks like there were on 808’s from another vendor

Taste is great, plenty of vapor…a bit smoother than the old ones.

Draw on the 808 is just about perfect!

Cons:
Holds only about 1ml of juice. I would like to see the tube made a tad longer to hold at least as much as the originals and hopefully a full 1.5ml

Draw on the 510’s is a touch looser than the originals, but not too loose. They will most likely tighten up after a couple of refills (not much of a con more a personal preference).

Inconsistent starter hole for the fill hole. Some are easier to “punch through” the first time for a fill than others. I think that the first time you stick the needle through the fill hole is critical to future performance and would like to see better consistency in depth of the starter pilot hole. This is the same as in the origionals.

Verdict:
I haven’t had the opportunity to take it apart for cleaning yet, but expect that to be the same as the original. Overall I really like these and do see them as an improvement with the only downside being a diminished capacity. These will replace the old ones as my go-to device.

Good job GotVapes! :toast:

Best review of the REBORN I have seen yet. Thanks. I think the 510 originals were a bit on the airy side to begin with. Not sure being "airyer" is good. I finally gave up on punching the fill hole with the syringe and just do it with a sewing needle before the first fillup. Good review!
