NPL- thanks for the pictures! so many tricks to try! I've been doing alright with the rba- but it's getting the darn thing apart to rewick or adjust the wick that is messy and sends me back to the OCCs.

speaking of which, for those of you who aren't planning on rebuilding/rewicking your used Subtank OCCs, don't throw them out! someone *ahem* has a want ad.
Thanks.:)
You have an erlkönigin?

Btw with RTAs I usually dry burn my coil and rewick my KGD everyday especially since I vaoe a lot of NETs. I just do it when my tank is empty and I run a paper towel up the chimney and drip tip after a quick soak in hot water in a solo cup and a quick brush with a toothbrush across the deck. I know with rayon/cellulocotton I could go longer, but I prefer my KGD.

Lol no worries. If you did have an Erl and it really didn't work for you I would have traded some good gear with you.:D
I am a fan boy of Erls and Nicoticket. Took me a while to find my happy place.

their decks do look similar- I'll give your method a try, makes sense with the way they work.

I hear ya.. been around a few blocks over the past almost 4 years wow- I loved the Reos.. but I'm really loving the Subtanks and iSticks. this is what I've been after the entire time! add the eGrip for a stealthy yet awesome vape, and I'm wicked happy.

I built the rba for the Kanger SubTank Mini tonight. The coil registers 1.2 on the ohms meter however, when I put it on the istick I get the "no atomizer"message. Any ideas?

Sounds like a no contact issue. Coil post screws good and snug? Is the bottom pin tightened into the RBA unit. Is the unit tight in the base. Is the atty tight on the stick? And finally, did you clean the atty and stick contacts with isopropyl? The only other thing I can think of off the top of my head is a short.

As always, hope this helps and that you are having a great weekend as well.....:)

The answer is yes, yes and yes to your questions. I think I'll try and build another coil for it to see if a short is the problem. I got frustrated and just put it away.

Been promising to post a build of the ST RBA unit. Hopefully I will get to it in the next few days......

Please??? Lol I need to go back and look at the pictures for the rebuild on the stock OCC coils so I can change out the .5 to something more usable to me. The .5's are too hot even with the air controls wide open.
Thanks for the help!!

John, you were right! It was a short...I ripped out the coil, built another, installed it and woohoo, it works!! 1.0 ohms and fires beautifully! It's not pretty but hey...it works! Lol

I've had a very productive morning!!! I've rebuilt a GS Air coil this morning and rebuilt the ST Mini RBA! :rickroll: :rickroll: :rickroll:

Glad to see you got it ironed out Lynn...:)

What's happening 5s? How have you been?

A vert? Very cool. How does it fire with the one extra long leg?
Ha ha was thinking that would get your attention.
Yea had to do some fancy bending to get that in there and be able to wrap enough cotton around it. That one came out to 1.0 ohm. Spaced 26g 3mm. Seems to be working fine though. No dry hits. no gurgle, one tank through so far. Was trying to see if I could get a little more flavor out of it. But it cut down on the air flow so can't really lung hit it. Did another one with compressed coils. Think it needs a little bigger diameter coil. Lots of space in there.

Hey guys! I am going to let go of my Lemo and was wondering if it is best to put it in the classies to trade or on the pif community thread to trade? Any suggestions?
57Chilicat-- or anyone else with experience -what did you not like about the Lemo Drop? It's on sale pretty cheap and was on my list of things to try. TIA!
EDIT -- nevermind -- I found a few posts with the search function -- sounds like the Lemo Drop is finicky and frustrating! NO THANKS!

The information that you found is right. The wicking is everything with the Lemo. Too much wick = dry hit, Too little = a case of the floods. However, if you are willing to spend a little time tinkering with it ( I always enjoy a challenge) it can be a great unit with great flavors and draw. With that being said (and if Eleaf is listening) they could make some improvements to the base that would make it much more user friendly for the everyday vaper.

I gotta disagree on this one, compared to my Kayfun lite clone, my 3 Lemos ( one full size and 2 drops ) are cinch to wick and much easier to build on the big deck. Only time I ever had problems with juice flow was when they get too cold up here in the great white north.
Now I like my Aqua V2 s better than the Lemo, but the wicking is a whole different beast with those.

I hear what you are saying Partspro and this tells me that you have some good experience under your belt. I also agree about building on the big deck. Mine work for me as well but, just like the Kayfuns, a lot of people have problems with them. I know of one family member that tried and tried and even with all of our help just couldn't find their happy place with the Kayfun. They ultimately just gave up and ended up going in a completely different direction.

If you can wick a Kayfun and get it to work right, you can wick a Lemo without a problem. I have five genuine Kayfuns and 3 Russians including a new 2.0 and I do not have a problem with any of them. I started using Kayfuns on my first high end mods. ( a pair of Provari 2.5's) When I purchased my first Kayfun I was new to the rebuilding game and my first one gave me fits as well until I figured it out. The same would apply to the Lemo.

As the old saying goes, what works well for one does not necessarily mean it will work well for others. ;)
