I hear what you are saying Partspro and this tells me that you have some good experience under your belt. I also agree about building on the big deck. Mine work for me as well but, just like the Kayfuns, a lot of people have problems with them. I know of one family member that tried and tried and even with all of our help just couldn't find their happy place with the kayfun. They ultimately just gave up and ended up going in a completely different direction.

If you can wick a kayfun and get it to work right, you can wick a Lemo without a problem. I have five genuine Kayfuns and 3 Russians including a new 2.0 and I do not have a problem with any of them. I started using Kayfuns on my first high end mods. ( a pair of Provari 2.5's) When I purchased my first kayfun I was new to the rebuilding game and my first one gave me fits as well until I figured it out. The same would apply to the Lemo.

As the old saying goes, what works well for one does not necessarily mean it will work well for others. ;)

And I certainly agree with that!
But, I would also consider this a far easier unit to build than many of the other units on the market today.
For someone just starting with RTAs, I would consider a Drop as a fine place to start. Easy to build, easy to wick, cheap and a ton of info and help here on ECF.

Just my .02

Add me to the wicking problems with the Lemo Drop! Even with Partspros help, I still can't get the thing to not flood or have tons of dry hits. Plus, I wanted it for a topper for my istick and to take it to work but when I put the damned thing in my pocket, it leaks!! :(

Lynn,
I had no idea you were having flooding or dry hit issues. You have my e mail address or could have sent a PM. I am more than happy to help.
Regarding the leak, not much help there. Due to the design of these types of tanks, they just don't do well laying on their sides.
I can manage to keep mine upright and I never have an issue.
If you want help with the flooding or dry hits, contact me.

Joss, Amazon is your friend. Amazon.com: cellucotton Just make sure it say 100% rayon as it also comes in cotton.

I was obviously confused and bought the wrong big box. $6.58 vs $19.95

need to not go shopping when sleep deprived! probably need to not be having this conversation quite yet either..

It's cheaper at the store than buying from Amazon. When I shop at Amazon I have to pay taxes and shipping? If I go to Sally's only taxes and of course gas for the car but I ride by the store every day. Lol

John, when I need some I'll definitely let you know! Lol Although you may be wicking a lot and not have any left!

I went to my local Sally's for some and saw this small box. Thought it was the right stuff....WRONG!!! It's 100% cotton with little flecks in it. Well I decided to try some anyway. I almost brought up my dinner that stuff was so nasty!

I can always walk around SF and ask everyone I see if they know John. He's 6'5" and has an Irish wife who's 5'3". Surely someone will know you!! Lol
