Yeah, Distorto, ST Mini. I need to take better/more pictures next time. This is the coil that came premounted on the deck. I believe it is above the screws, so maybe just a bad pic angle. We'll see when I open it up. My latest wicking seems to be doing ok, no pops or spitting, although if I pull for more than 5 sec or so it starts to dry hit. It does however recover pretty quickly and next pull is fine. So I can only assume that it's wicking ok, just not great. Taste is good and not over-saturated.

Anybody here good at soldering? I have 2 istick 20w batteries that the center pin is pushed down too far. Now I've been told that what needs to happen is I need to open the top, which requires some kind of special(TorkX or something like that) screwdriver to open the top, remove the solder from the red wire, pull up the center pin and put in a new o ring, then solder the red wire back on and put the top back on the battery. Now I know the 20w's are cheap but I really don't want the expense of buying 2 more right now. Anyone willing?
Thanks!!

My friends istick stopped charging and I totally damaged the threads on mine with a cheapo aftermarket nautilus mini base that was poorly milled. So between the two of us we have enough parts for one good one.

Found this video with a complete break down and battery replacement. That should give you an idea.

Fortunately I just received an Istick 30 in the mail.

Well I messed up my coil re-wicking, so was kind of forced to wrap my first coil tonight.

Maybe got a little carried away with saturation.

Coil came out to 0.6 Ohm Seems to be hitting and wicking pretty good. It is popping just a bit at beginning of each pull, but so far I'm satisfied. I used a little less cotton this time, pulled off the outside layers of the pad like usual, but then pulled off one more layer because it seemed real tight going into the coil.

It's really kinda sad for me on a major level, that reading and looking at the above posts, I no longer have viable assistance to give folks.
I've sort of 'vaped mah way into a corner' and no longer have and idea if a coil is too high above the air hole, or if the amount of wicking is correct...

I was really proud of mahself in the past for being able to assist at the drop of a hat. But since I've eliminated tanks from mah arsenal, I've also eliminated the assistance I can provide to others here...I want to help, I just can't...:(

I hear what you are saying mah brother. I moved completely away from tanks myself and only used Reo's and drippers for quite a while. But then, something changed when I decided to try the ST Mini and now I'm not only back using my different tanks a lot more but still using the Reo's and drippers as well. Some of these new and or upgraded RTA's are game changers for sure.

Thanks! Vapes well so far. And am happy to see bubbles rising on the tank right away after a pull. Am I correct in believing that the juice is flowing good?

It's natural for a little air to rise once you have put a tank back together. The trick to supplanting the air is to cover the intake and take a pull. I looked a little closer at your pictures and this is in no way meant to be sarcastic or judgmental. Next time You re-coil, flip the coil over so that the legs have a straighter shot to the posts...;)

No need to tear it apart now but I would imagine that you had a bit of a tough time getting them wrapped around the posts with the legs coming off of the top

WARNING!!! I just had a scare. Was sitting at my desk when I heard a sizzlng sound! Looked over at my rack and one of my Eleaf 50's was auto firing even though it was off! Had to grab it and remove the atty to get it to stop!
OH MY GOSH!!! Haven't heard of that happening before! Glad you were home!
Here's an istick thread - you might want to check in and see if this has happened before and if there is a reset - otherwise, might not be able to trust it again!
