Guess what's the mailman has for me today!
Carbon fiber opus d!!!!:)

Also while searching the web I came across a company making custom dna devices with a master on/off switch I thought that was pretty cool

Hey Pelton, don't forget after you take the package into the house to let it warm up for 48 hours before opening. Then open and place the Opus in a cozy spot and let it warm up for another 48 to 72 hours. After that, if it's not cool to the touch, you can use it. Got that?

Yea...I'll do that with my second one when I order it BUT this is how it's going to go when I get home

I'll park in my driveway, walk right through the 6inches of snow in the yard straight to the mailbox, open it up and grab the box and proceed to cut it open while standing in the road. Then I will throw my Kfl+ onto it and enjoy a quick vape as I hike through the snow on my way into the house where I can sit and enjoy it:)

Oh poor Pelton. Oh yeah, I forgot one important thing. After all the days of warming up the little Opus, it will need a bath. Place in warm water for 2 weeks, daily adding a little hot water to make it just right...and then....

(Actually...you've got a lot to look forward to!!!!! So just go get it already! :) )

AND...come back here and tell us what you think!

I finally get home and get my package!
Kayfun lite plus goes on top and I'm in dream land!

But I will say it feels very weird going out to dinner and bringing the PROVARI as a backup instead of my main device:)

Wow Pelton! That's a beauty! Congratulations! For me the Opus and Provari Mini are my two (2) main devices. They never let me down. :)

I'm not sure why tapatalk makes
My pics look like crap but that picture does it no justice! It is a beautiful:)
And I honestly beat the living crap out of my daily devices so I don't plan on taking it to work. I mean I've literally almost killed a provari in 2 weeks.....I'm not nice to my daily devices lol

There's only one answer to your problem. You need 2 or 3 Opus's.

Your pics are good...but we need to see the left hand curve on your Opus. It's bumped up against the wall. One thing special about this thing is its subtle curves. I like the small curvy shape that's not so boxy. So give us a gooder pic!

My thought is that a master on-off switch rated at 7 amps would add cost and physical size to the mod and really save very little battery life...but others may want the ability to turn the unit completely off....matter of choice I guess....

The current draw for the 20D when not under load is as follows....

Screen On Current - screen lighted while not under load
25mA
Quiescent Current - current draw while screen is black and unit not under load....
1 mA

It would take days for the battery to become discharged at 1 mA current draw.........

In my opinion that's not where the master on/off comes into play, I believe it comes in handy when your resistance reading is stuck or battery view is froze.
Don't you usually have to let it die to fix those two problems? If so then that is the only benefit if a master switch in my opinion

Very well. I've beaten the snot outta mine and it still vapes like a champ. I just dropped one this afternoon at work from a shelf about 3ft off the ground to the concrete floor. Nice little nick in the side, but still works. :D

My very informed salesman at my local ecig shop was even confused about the 'locked' vs 'unlocked' feature on the Opus. I assumed that if I locked it, it was "off" and not draining the battery at all. I say that because you can't vape it when it's locked. So could 'locked' actually mean 'off', with no battery drain?

Pelton...that's a great picture! Thanks!

I believe the lock and unlock 5 click function is just to prevent firing it in your pocket.

And no problem!
