You'd have to be a grandfather-date vaper to understand the reference

I started vaping in Sept 09. I have a Mill and Lathe so I was making little drippers with coax connections.
Had a nice 3AA Puck mod/RadioShack mod.

Making vape gear was a hobby before it helped me to stop smoking.

I'm sorry to hear about the arthritis, and I hope you're able to finish your quilt. There's no shame in machine quilting. Does your machine have a hand-quilt stitch?
No, my machine is a Singer Featherweight 221. Ex-bf's mother gave it to me for Christmas one year, it was her 12th birthday present, in 1936. Nope, no shame in machine quilting at all. I was really wanting a longarm so I could keep quilting. Took classes at Houston International Quilt Festival for several years, bought dvd lessons, books, patterns. Got an amtique Wilcox & Gibbs chainstich machine to attach quilts to zippers to attach to machine rails faster. Disability income does not allow for space for a machine plus payments on one, either, so I need to sell all that stuff off & just let go of all that. Ee need to get back on topic! [emoji39]

Please take a survey--and share it! :)

Help save the vaping industry!

Madvapes is committed to advocating for the vaping industry and protecting the rights of every vaper. As a company, we are taking steps to prevent the potential catastrophic effect FDA regulation will have on our industry. We are asking for your help.

In an effort to collect valuable data that can demonstrate how important our industry is, we are asking every customer toshare their experience by completing a survey. We are offering 10% off your entire purchase or $10.00 off a TFV4 Mini for completing the survey.

Researchers worldwide have agreed vapor products could eliminate the public health hazards caused by the use of combustible tobacco cigarettes. We need your help to make that happen.

Just took the survey, Katya. Do you know how they're going to use the results?

Yes! Hoog is actually going to meet with the OMB. We have to do all we can to support him and MadVapes. He's good people.

There's a lot of background action going on and many of us are scheduling meetings with FDA/OMB. BUT... It's all guess work to a point. We can go in and say what we want, what we expect and what we think the proposed regulations will do to our industry but we have only vague ideas of what the other side is really doing (yet). We can speculate all we want but it's really all about presenting ideas for what we believe to be reasonable and fair regulations hoping that they'll be considered and acted upon before final regulations are created.

I did learn an interesting tidbit and that is that anytime there is a comment period on a fda regulation, clarification, rulemaking or whatever, only comments submitted on that proposal can be included if the fda were ever taken to court. New evidence cannot be added. I had a totally different picture of the documentation I'd bring.. Now I post it in advance..

Comment on and keep up the good fight.

hoog

Only rumors but have heard there have already been meetings with others. We're verified with OMB, just waiting on a date and sounds like it will be about mid December.. Keeping our fingers crossed..

Sounds good, Katya. Maybe a new thread in the General Vaping forum would alert more people to take the survey.

Here's the OP from MadVapes forum:

Help save the vaping industry!

I'm too sleepy right now to do anything--it's seriously past my bedtime...

But if you feel it should have its own thread, it's all yours!

Nighty night.

Is anyone here familiar with the Kayfun V4 clone at 88evape? It doesn't give a mfg name.
1:1 KAYFUN V4 Clone - 88eVape

I ordered the Bellus from Fasttech last week, and threw in two sets KF V4 replacement parts, so I guess I'm kind of committed to getting one now.

Oh, Boden, last night I put 8 wraps of twisted 28g in my Lemo, and its very yummy

That was my first build, too.

Have you ever seen a set of replacement parts for the Lemo? I'd really like a few extras of the silicon ring that seals the fill ports. I haven't lost one yet, but I've spent a lot of time looking for them. They seem determined to escape.

Check evcigarettes.com. I think that's where I got mine.

I have to agree with Boden on the k 4. My Tobeco was very nice. My no name one was garbage.

I really don't understand twisted wire coils. Other than look slightly fancy.

I'm curious, why twisted? Does it add something you like to experience?
