So, if you read any of my previous postings the last few days, you might remember my impatience and disgust with my postal service. I decided I was going to skip all the annoyance today and just slept in. My wife woke me up to tell me my package had arrived, and I started my wake-up process.

This usually involves a morning cigarette, and I strongly considered having mine before I went down to open the mail. I finally decided against it; if I was going to try and quit with Bloog, it was going to HAVE to be able to handle the cravings. I know PVs aren't smoking-cessation products, but I'd decided to vape with this goal in mind.

I set one to charge, and popped a menthol on the other, and gave it a tentative puff. Well, now, that was acceptable. As I've read others claim, I could certainly do this. Once the charging batt finished, I switched them around and continued on the menthol carto. It was about this time that I gave thought to how I was going to deal with analogs. The need to fulfill the actual analog habit was still rattling around the back of my brain.

I stepped outside, pulled one out and lit it up. Now, I was a half-pack a day smoker. I'd probably have ended up a heavier smoker if my asthmatic lungs could handle anything more. I'd always preferred menthol, and my "last" packs I'd sprung for Smooths, a fairly minty menthol. I realized immediately that after all the menthol vape, all I was getting out of the analog was all the tastes that WEREN'T menthol. It wasn't disgusting (yet), but it was definitely not satisfying. Halfway through, I just looked at it and realized - I don't need this. I don't want it. I snuffed it, tossed the rest of the pack out on the porch, and went back inside.

After a thorough shower (the first in 10 years that wasn't going to end with me stinking again in 5 minutes) and a change of clothes, I was ready to start the rest of my day as a vaper. Analogs were behind me. There just wasn't anything positive they had to offer anymore that the Bloog wasn't covering.

I vaped occasionally, now and then. Once the second batt was charged, I set up a RY4. I had originally wanted two black batts, but they'd gone out of stock right before I went to order. I ended up with a blue and a red. This turned out to be pretty awesome, as I had menthol on the blue and RY4 on the red. I knew what flavor I was grabbing with a quick glance and easy color association. As of this posting my RY4 carto seems like it might be coming close to its end, with the menthol still going nicely. Both batts seem to still be going like champs, so I'm not sure how long they'll typically last me on a charge. I could essentially kill my very few cravings with three or so consecutive puffs, and only when I went for a drive or stepped out with the dogs did I really "chain" it.

That's been my day so far. Analogs have been a non-issue since my first craving in the morning. I imagine the rest of that pack is just going to rot outside until I bother to throw it out. So, on to the flavors I ordered.

Menthol - I'd go 3/5 on this one. It's good. It's not bad. It tastes exactly like the mint nicotine gum I failed to quit on before. It's great as menthol, I've just realized throughout the day that I really want some kind of flavor to back it up. It just tastes lonely, and I'll be experimenting with flavoring my DIY menthols.

RY4 - I'd forgotten what this was supposed to have tasted like, and mistaken it for what I'd read on the 555's. I was looking hard for the nuttiness! Hah. What I got instead, at the start, was a very pleasant cotton candy. Through the course of the day, this slowly graduated into the caramel taste. I have no clue what tobacco vape is supposed to taste like, but I imagine it's what's given the savory tone to the sugary. This is easily 4/5, and reminds me I need to get some cotton candy flavoring.

Oh, and someone "accidently" put some Reds into my order... I'm waiting to finish one of these other cartos before I start one of them, so I'm not sure how that'll be.

In the end, it IS worth the wait, but you can't appreciate that until you're vaping it! As well, I'm 99% sure I'm quit with analogs, thanks to the Bloog Maxx Fusion.

congrats and welcome to the wonderful world of non smoking. you will enjoy the reds, they have a nice smooth flavor. When you are ready to order again get the 555s you will love them. also if you love the mint taste try the spearmint, they taste just like doublemint gum.

Congrats. Just cutting back is a huge thing, but being convinced on the first day that you won't want analogs anymore is gigantic. I'm still bad with the occasional analog, but I find myself going longer and longer without one.

I just wish I could vape some juices with a little heavier VG content on these cartos, but for now, I'm doing quite well refilling the cartos with 100% PG, and using new ones as needed. More are on the way. :)

I truly hope this is the end of analogs for you. :)

Yeah. As far as how I felt trying to smoke that last one, it ties into another failed quitting attempt. I tried chantix once, and it felt exactly the same as it did then. The analog just wasn't satisfying, and I didn't really want it anymore. But, that medication is incredibly expensive, and I couldn't support it long enough to actually quit.

It's good to hear about the VG weakness. My first juice order came with a happy mistake. Instead of 125ml of VG, I was sent 125ml of 100mg/ml nic... $40 worth, but nothing to cut it with! I put in an order for more supplies, but that vendor was out of PG. I thought I could get away with just the VG, but now I see I'll do good to order PG to help diluting.

I LOVE this paragraph! It says it all!!! Especially the part about analogs have nothing positive to offer any more. I completely agree. Last Friday evening I smoked about a 1/4 of a cigarette. I thought I was somehow missing something. I lit it up and didn't really like it. Vaping was better. It tastes better. It smells better. The draw (drag) on the pv feels better. So I tossed the cigarette, and haven't looked back.

Glad you to hear you feel the same!

So, one fully charged battery has just died. Luckily I'd recharged the other while I was focusing on trying to figure out the Reds.
I'd also started, late last night, to really work the menthol. Tried to vape it to the end so I could start on a Red. It didn't happen last night, and took me most of the morning to finally knock out. Started to think it would never end!
