That'd be GREAT! I'm sure it'd be a large undertaking (and require updating as necessary) but it'd be cool to have a master list of "modifications" for different products.

Phoenix --> Dry Hits --> Do THIS
-------------> Over Wicking --> Do THIS
-------------> Running Perfectly --> Thank GotVapes and send it to MastiffMike
(heck, even if it's not running perfectly for YOU, send it to me anyway!)

Well, you get the idea...

OMG that would be great! I still have not found any instructions for taking apart a Phoenix XL for cleaning. I am NOT an electrical engineer. I am a working mother of 4 that used to smoke and LOVES vaping. Trying to get through 1,000,000 posts to figure these things out is really hard.

It must be just me, but my 2.4-2.6 versions give me a sever burnt taste at anything over 4.1V..
This is in total contradiction to the Ohm's VS volt rule. This makes sense as to why there soo good on an eGo batt.
I put them on my Buzz Pro and my Provari cranked up, and they kill me above 4.1?

I see vids and read threads of vapors "Loving 5-6 volt vaping" but I tried this, even on 3ohm Boges with the same result...burnt taste. Either ya'll are HARD CORE, or I'm just a sissy. As a FORMER Marlboro light smoker, 2 PAD, for 32 years, I didn't think I was a sissy. Also, I just love the LONG draws some people take..Grimm Green for example. My Lung capacity is NO WHERE near that...I would black out if I tried that..I really wish I could though, the enjoyment and taste is awsome with vaping.

It's so funny you say that, I got my new Ego Twists, my first VV device, thinking it would be awesome to crank it up...instead I find on many of my clearos and juices the flavor is better if I crank it DOWN to 3.2! Weird, huh? Oh well. You and me are in the non-hard core group.

Its not you zipper, the phoneix was designed for low voltage. They really perform best in the 3.5v-4.0v range. The people saying they are sending 4.8v to them have modified the wick system. So out of the box, dont try to Jeremy Clarkson them "MORE POWER!!!"

Ah I love you man...unfortunately my !"$U#*@ speakers are not working on my laptop so it will be a silent movie. One day I will convince you guys just to give it to us in writing...for those of us with no patience, and/or no speakers.

Edit: I am a notorious speed reader....talking is so much slower...sorry :)

Haha the silent movie keeps locking up on me, so I guess I'll just try ripping the guts out and see what happens. Wish me luck!

OK, I can see now I can use tweezers to pull the middle thingy out and then I dip the middle thingy and the cartridge in something...water? I just dip the middle thingy and the cartridge in water?

Chris are you the only person in the universe that has a customized clearo cleaning tray installed in your desktop. I love you man but that is freaking weird.

I am guessing your plan is to fill and blow out, fill and blow out?

OK, Chris, watched the video without speakers, so tell me if I got it:

Use needle to pry out rubber seal.

Take tweezers and pull out middle pipe thingy.

Dunk Carto in water and/or mystery fluid in Chris' Custom Desktop Cleaning system.

Blow through Carto.

Repeat Dunk/Blow several times.

Reassemble carto.

Is that it?

you have to pat it dry then dry burn it after it is all clean , 3 seconds each burst with a pause, then when coil glows then assemble and fill.

I ordered the Phoenix clearos a little over a week ago...the first one I opened worked like a charm, and I absolutely LOVED the way it vapes. Since then I have had some issues, and before wrecking a 4th one (if i did in fact do something to ruin the first three), i thought I would ask a few quetions. I'd really appreciate some help, because I'm dying to get back to that first day where i was in love with it!

Ok...so the second one I opened, I filled with the syringe & needle it came with, upside, just like I did with the first one that worked perfectly. After filling, it immediately leaked all of the juice out of the bottom. I've since tried again, thinking maybe I didnt fill it all the way, and same thing. ANy suggestions?

Then I tried another, and its not leaking, but it just won't vape. I hardly get any vapor from it. Any idea what the issue could be there?

The first one that worked great at first, is now producing a burnt taste. I only filled it & vaped twice, so this was after the 3rd fill. (same juice) Does that one just need to be cleaned alread perhaps?

Any insight would be a huge help!! Thanks!

The tube in the center may not be seated properly. I had the same problem and I found it was not seated securely. I cleaned it out of the box and I believe this was my error. After I fixed the leaking I was getting dry hits and found a post on this thread about the coil being set to low in the cup on some of the Phoenix. I took a small paper clip and bent it at a right angle on the end and stuck it down between the end of the coil and the cup and gently pulled it up a little on both sides until the wick was even with the slots in the cup. It works like a champ now. I believe the coil problem has been addressed with the next shipment. I hope this helps....:)
These things are great. Good taste, good vapor and easy to clean but they are new and have a few bugs but I am sure Chris and Danno will work these out.

I think this is it! I remember looking at the coil in mine and it was definitely lower than the slots. Mine is flooding, but i think that moving the coil up might just put the wicks more into the slot and will plug the leak. Will try tomorrow at work:)

Be gentle. Just a little at a time. Oh, I also trimmed the wicks a bit.

the new ones with no primer of any kind simply rock, there is so many surprises coming, and soon some exclusive phoenixs only available to gotvapes are coming soon.in the next few months the BIONIC PHOENIX will arrive, the end all be all of bottom coils

Can you elaborate a little more on the "Bionic Phoenix"...as I feel it necassary to just turn over my paycheck anyway?

mwa...do you have the 2.4-2.6ohm or 2.6-28ohm?

I have both, the one that is in the picture that I'm vaping and talking about happens to ohm in @ 2.7ohms

Zippersnapper,,,, ohms law with any and all CE2 type cartos has never been the same as as with regular Attys in my opinion, they always have vaped better at a bit less voltage or wattage then the normal ohms law set up would work on say a regular 510 Atty, its always been a bit less voltage with a better vape with these then normal, just my opinion
