I tried my ego cones and could fit them, but when I screwed them onto the battery it totally cut off the airflow, just too tight.

Too bad, it would have made them look a lot more finished. The phoenix works awesome but looks cheesy without a cone.

Just drill a 1/16" hole in your cone.

if only some one made a good 510 auto...

808 please bad, please :)

There are some newer Auto Batts out in the 808 that are pretty good now with the new threaded top and switch that dont get harmed with liquid getting into them,, haven't checked on 510's. I would think that someone must be using the same type of set up on a 510 by now but like I said I haven't looked around, sure would be nice with these though I agree. I'm using my older stick 510's and just being careful but would like a newer 510 with these newer sealed tops and switched Cyrus

a good way i found to open the end or the cone a little without distorting it take a half inch wide strip of sandpaper couple of inches long and a long finish nail with the tiny head. get a straight one lol. lay the sandpaper grit up and stick a piece of masking tape on the right (as in not left :D) end (long ways) with about half an inch hanging off. right where the paper ends stick the tape to the nail so the head of the nail is even with the edge of the paper and wrap the tape around the nail and back on the paper so it looks like a flag waving to the left. now wrap the sandpaper around the nail with the grit facing out. it will appear similar to a dermel drum sander except it has this advantage - unroll the paper untill the diameter of the roll fits inside the end of your cone you want to open up and just tear the rest off. then put this tool in a dremel or hand drill and give it a whirl. the centrifugal force will puff out the sandpaper and cause it to sand evenly around the inside of the hole provided you keep it relatively centered. sand a bit then check your fit.
rinse and repeat as desired lol :D
hope this is helpful

Similar to what Cyrus did on page 24.
This holds 6-7 ml and vapes outstanding along with same outstanding flavor.

I've been using the phoenix with an adaptor on my echo batts (not a stick, I know ;) ) and its rocking. Just needs an airflow adjustment because the adaptor gets a bet airy (I use a gutted echomizer shell)

they also work great on my gen 1 808s and gen 2 808s

mwa I meant no harm, as you know ;)

Hey guys, after a lot of trial and error (mostly error) I believe I've found the tank for me. It's the Phoenix XL! I'll admit I've had some dry hits ,still learning how to avoid those, but will take any suggestions. Just don't know if trimming the wicks help that much or not. What do you think?
Also the vape is cooler than I like. I purchased the 2.4-2.6 ohms last time but was wondering if the 2.6 - 2.8ohms would warm things up some. I want to place an order today so any help would be appreciated!

2.6-2.8 would actually be a bit cooler. I know there is a lot to read, but, this thread has a bunch of great tweaks and mods for the phoenix line. Adjust the stem, trim the wicks, thin the wicks etc.

Quick question. I ordered a box of the little phoenixes and I plan to give one to my uncle to try. I realize that they come with only one drip tip. Do they have a regular flat mouth piece like some other cartos?

Also, does the rubber drip tip from the old fluxos fit them?

Thats a old acorn tank i used i kept part of the tube for the top cap and part of the tube to go around the bottom knurled connector . There are no leaks and im very pleased with it.
One can PM me if they wish .

I ve been trying out a lot of ce2 types, ones in there stainless tube , ce2s in there plastic tubes similar to the phoenix but top coil etc etc in the last year.
I love the taste a ce2 type brings but they have had there problems with e-liquid in mouth and flooding of the airtube etc.

Now after vaping the Phoenix xl i can "Honestly" say this something that they got right .
No gurgling , no e-juice in mouth, and one of my favoritew i can lay it sideways upside down and it performs without those problems.
Have not tried vaping standing on my head yet but thats not happening im too old for that.

Ive read about some wicking issues and recently opened up yet another from a new order of 5 boxes of the phoenix and tested it and this is what i found.
It started vaping ok then i got a burnt taste just like with some types of ce2 that could not wick fast enough.

Hmm i thought i took apart and noticed the wicks were actually butted very snug against the plastic tube prevented it from wicking as a test i tried to wiggle the tube back on a had a difficult time because of the wick.
I got out the nail clippers and trimmed the wicks and now its back to new vaping with it. No biggie.

Bad i had sent you a PM a few days back asking that these stay available and also not to change a thing with them .
If you have them changed i would be saddened so keep them as is please for they work wonderful.

Ps - that phoenix i put in the tank is the same one i been abusing since April 30th and its been cleaned twice to date and vapes fantastic along with the taste of my e-liquid thats homemade @70pg/30vg.

Bad i repeat please sir keep this retiree happy dont change em and keep them available.
