Pretty funny how we all try modding everything to try and get that peak performance vape out of all this stuff. I went a bit in a different direction with my 3ml Phoenix just now and unlike just notching the bottom slots and also slots on the bottom of the center poll to make the whole opening bigger like I did when they first came out and removing wick, this time I did the same notching the bottom where the wick comes out and also the bottom of the center post where the wicks are on each side but just enough to fit a piece of the 2mm Wick in the slot on the bottom of the center poll and placed a 2-1/2 piece of the 2mm wick and laid it across the coil and bent it upwards into the tank. This set up is putting out plumes of vapor with great flavor. I have no leaking so far this way either, that extra wick coming up into the tank and going down into the chamber where the coil is lets in just the right amount of liquid this way.
These things work dam good on an Ego with the PWM too
Also with the black sleeve off, when you put your finger over one of the air vent holes and take a pull it brings extra liquid to the coil, which creates more flavor when you need it.
Now put a piece of the 2mm wick in that slot 2-1/2" long, across the coil and bend what hangs out on either side upward into the tank.
This vapes like a Locomotive with great flavor, and like I said if you want or need more flavor just put your finger over one of the air holes and take a pull, this brings even more liquid to the coil, its not needed but is a nice extra once in a while
