I did trim the stock wick to the edge and removed one strand I believe Cyrus :) but not positive if I removed or not

Edit,, the notch is small, dont over do it, it looks bigger in the pic then it is,,,,the 2mm wick stops it from flooding, also adds flavor in my opinion. I made this notch from when I first got these and told Daven and others, the wick is the same 2mm on everything else.

place wick on coil let it come out either side and bend upward into the tube like picture details.

Filled properly, and take a pull or two, pressure hold liquid in same as stock, vapes super, have been using this for weeks Cyrus, leaving it stand up on my Ego Twist units vaping it at full blast 4.6v-4.8v no leaking fill after fill perfect vape.

I think the pic clearly shows the notch made Cyrus,,,, I believe what is happening is the 2mm wick fills the notch just right, bringing liquid to the wick then just the right amount to the coil, just make a small notch like the pic shows, the 2mm wick should fit perfectly in the notch. I also make sure I wet the wick and it lays on top of the coil, then hook it in the notch, then bend it upward and hold while putting tube back on.

Since the extra top wick can be removed and replaced, why not use cotton?

I did the wick on top treatment with the Stardust a while back, but with my juice, it gunked up really quick. A cheap natural wick like cotton as a feeder wick that can easily be tossed and renewed when cleaning time comes might be just the ticket.

I did it MWA! i followed your directions, got out my Dremel - (family hid in the closet in fear). Sliced and diced - trimmed the existing Wick, layed on a piece of Cotton Yarn that I had - It works Great!!

No idea if I cut too much metal divet or not...we shall see how it behaves. I could always add more cotton if i need to - or try gauze. The actual extra wick I have from my Bulli A2 is surely too thin. The cotton yarn seems ok, and I have a ton of it.

The Phoenix 3ml was just fine the way it was. But I cannot help myself. Whenever I buy ANYTHING I change it up when I get it home. Furniture, jewelry, computer accessories are not safe in my presence. I have not posted in Gummy's Clinic thread...but I feel the kindred spirits there. :)

well I'm trying an XL, so far 3 refills and no leaks, just enjoying it

the ones that don't leak, can they still get refilled many times more?

i have refilled mine 25 times. just make sure you always vape it dry before refilling so the vacuum in the tube works the way its supposed to.

if the fill hope doesnt close after x amount of fills, it will leak.

Haven't tried the MWA fix yet, been running around kind of busy

We need a summary of the fixes and mods, even my head is starting to spin after coming up with a few of my own over the first week

TBH I've been kind of busy and don't trust taking the phoenix out of the house yet. Besides the occasional spontaneous flood on a newly filled unit (just a handful of times), I also notice that sometimes things work perfectly until there is about .4 ml left, then it starts to overwick, and eventually just leak out. If that happens to me and I end up without my fix I'm in trouble, so I've been relying on fluxos and stardusts.

That'd be GREAT! I'm sure it'd be a large undertaking (and require updating as necessary) but it'd be cool to have a master list of "modifications" for different products.

Phoenix --> Dry Hits --> Do THIS
-------------> Over Wicking --> Do THIS
-------------> Running Perfectly --> Thank GotVapes and send it to MastiffMike
(heck, even if it's not running perfectly for YOU, send it to me anyway!)

Well, you get the idea...

Guys I've had my 3ml Phoenix modded like this for a long time, many a refills and do not have any issues, just wanted to report this. As Chris stated as long a you fill properly upside down it doesn't leak, and it doesn't leak how I've modded mine either. I probably have a good 10 Refills on this one, nothing but great thick vapor with great flavor, time after time., no dry hits, just a nice clean vape. I even leave it standing up on my new Ego-Twist Batts, not a drop comes out.
4.2v-4.8v seems to be the sweet spot for me on these with this set up depending on what juice I'm running.

I definitely need to get some wick and try this. I like the CE3 until it gets to about 40%. At this point, the 2 that I have tried so far, will start to flood the atomizer and the vapor dissappears. Only way to fix it is place the PV upside down and vape the wicks dry. Problem with this is that the pressure has now been killed inside the tube and it will continue to flood.

It must be just me, but my 2.4-2.6 versions give me a sever burnt taste at anything over 4.1V..
This is in total contradiction to the Ohm's VS volt rule. This makes sense as to why there soo good on an eGo batt.
I put them on my Buzz Pro and my Provari cranked up, and they kill me above 4.1?

I see vids and read threads of vapors "Loving 5-6 volt vaping" but I tried this, even on 3ohm Boges with the same result...burnt taste. Either ya'll are HARD CORE, or I'm just a sissy. As a FORMER Marlboro light smoker, 2 PAD, for 32 years, I didn't think I was a sissy. Also, I just love the LONG draws some people take..Grimm Green for example. My Lung capacity is NO WHERE near that...I would black out if I tried that..I really wish I could though, the enjoyment and taste is awsome with vaping.

I know that you guys at GotVapes have a lot going on, but I for one feel like a mushroom (in the dark, and you know the rest).

Could someone please take a moment to answer the following question? If the answer is "unknown" just state that and we won't sit here in anticipation.

1. When will the new version sleeveless Phonix be available?

2. When will the 3ml replacement Tanks for the Phoenix XL be available?

3. When will the new version ViVi be available?

Thanks,

RodeoGeorge
