Picked it up from the P.O. Im not having an issue getting in and out of the menu. Sorry about your troubles Col.

This thing is LIGHT compared to the original. Way light.

It had a sticker on the inside of the top cap of the tank. Sort of like a paper label used to protect the aluminum during machining? Peeled off OK.

The learning curve is all about the timing of the finger presses. Took about 10 minutes to get it down. I can see having trouble with it after a few drinks, but I heard you should drink and VV :)

I am going to use it dripping for a while with an HV atty. Got the volts at 5.3 right now and it is vaping like a champ using 2x AW 16340. There should be some 18350's in my mailbox when I get home tonight which will be nice.

If you've got any questions, I'd be happy to answer them.

Big congrats! Next week for me hopefully!

Thanks Chuck!

The tank seems like it would be hit or miss. I'll have to thin down my juice to use it I guess (as per Steve's comments on his video). The drip hole is mega small, like kynar wire size (30 AWG). It seems like it would drip down to the top of the unit and sit there waiting for suction to drive it up into the atty (like on a Reo). I put a couple of ml in it and couldn't get it to feed. My DIY mix is approx 20/60/10/10 (PG/VG/Vodka/flavor). I'll try thinning it out some more and report back in a day or two. I would love for it to work.

It is not designed to be used on anything other than the Precious.

Here is a shot of the unboxing (un-enveloping :))

im # 184 i just dont think its going to be worth the hassle, if this thing craps out, my v1 melted down ,that was useless, and it was almost impossible to get ahold of him, what if this dumps ,going to have to send it back then hope it gets fixed right, then you say why are people having trouble out the box thats bull, that shows nobody tested the units,na for 229.00 i dont think im going to be able to do it, the darwin is that much and i wont pay the money for that but at least you can get ahold of the company for the darwin, if this unit starts having major trouble i believe you will be out the money, hard to trust someone who has screwed up really bad in the past, and no showing any better now, just my thoughts

Well no word from Mark, I will send one more e-mail and if I do not hear anything it is going back return receipt requested. IT DOES NOT WORK! The only color I get is green, no red, no amber! I don't want to be a downer for other people out there but I don't want anyone else to go through what I am going to have to go through. I hope that everyone else who gets one will get a working model.

That sux Col. Really sorry to hear about the dread.

I cannot use the 18350's I just got. They are the blue ultrafire protected 1200 mAh. Not a dis on the Precious as these are really 18370's and the extra 4mm make a difference (thanks UF!!). After forcing the issue, the top batt had a nice dent on the negative end. I do not want to stress the tube's threads like that again. Even on a roughstack, the length (rent) is too damn high! Sticking with AW ICR-123's for now.

Hey EVERYBODY! GOOD NEWS! I just finished skyping with MARK! He confirms that my unit is defective and he told me to send back the top piece and as soon as he see's a tracking number he will be shipping me a new top piece.

Mark was really cool and helpful, and was very apologetic about the unit not working. SO, as soon as I get the new top piece I will let everyone know. Wow, I feel so much better now, Mark is also going to refund me my cost of shipping the piece back too!

I asked him about the proper way to get the tank to feed and he said that first of all he only uses dekang e-liquid and to get it started he blows into the drip tip top twice. This should get the flow of liquid started so that it will drip down into the lower level and start feeding the bottom of the atty.

Keep your fingers crossed for me!

Good news Col! Thanks for asking about the tank.

JR, here's a closeup pic of the top without the tank. Sorry about the focus. Looking at it from arm's length the threads are not so apparent. Just looks like a cup. Unless you're rocking an ego-t or some other non standard 510 type atty, it looks cleaner with it attached :)

CH, The sticker thing on the cap is the "thing" Modistru removed from his. Apparently that "sticker thing" was not supposed to removed according to Mark recent post. I left Caesar and Mark a message about better informing customers beforehand and not after the fact.

You guys already know how I stick up for Caesar when his actions do not warrant such harsh past bashing, well I am fair about it and the door swings both ways. I have always been in contact with Caesar through out this long journey, even when everyone else got no reply, so I do have a better understanding and know him better than most. This time I had to give Caesar and Mark a piece of my mind about the lack of instructions prior to use. The lack of adequate communication and availability was his downfall in the first place, very disappointed that they have not learned from this.

I pray nothing else goes wrong for anyone and hope the performance of the new units more than make up for the long bumpy road we endured along the way. For those of you that know me, you know I am brutally honest to a fault. When a product is well worth it, I will endorse and promote it, when it is not, watch out!! Only time will tell and we will see, mine is on route to me and I will definitely give my honest opinion when the time comes.

Aloha, Keith

Hmm... after reading some of this thread, Im a little hesitant on pulling the trigger, Got my PP Request today...... After the long frustrating time using the AFS and now on to something that works (Vape Mate) I'm not all that sure I want to try another "auto" feeder again. I really like being able to control my juice and I know the thing looks crazy but it does work. I'll have to sleep on this matter and make up my mind if I really want to spend the $209. I've had a Precious so I know how well they work..... hmmm..... scratches chin in serious thought.

Congrats JR!!!! My tracking only shows that it has left Romania, just hope the same thing doesn't happen like with my first Precious where our Customs office held mine in NY for 2 weeks. Please keep us updated on yours and Modistru please do the same. I am dying to hear more about the performance of the juice dispenser than anything else.

Aloha, Keith
