... I am dying to hear more about the performance of the juice dispenser than anything else.

Aloha, Keith

Me too. Since I have potentially ruined mine, I am curious to hear some feedback from those that are using it successfully. I've been having an email exchange with Mark and he has given me some ideas on how to build a replacement. Communication has been good. In the meantime, I am using it with an ego-t atty @ 3.8 volts (which is sweet) when out and about. Dripping with standard resistance atties @ ~4.3 volts is nice too.

You are going to love it! Major, major upgrade.

Well I got mine, after a little diffuculty with my post office, but that is another story...

First thing, it is light and it is shiny :)

Mine does work, so no problems with the top like Col. had with his. I also left the white gasket in mine. I could understand wanting to take it off upon seeing it initially. In fact if modistru hadn't done that and posted here, I may have done exactly the same.

All the threading has noalox of some sort on it. I cleaned them all, but didn't put any fresh noalox on it. It is noticeable without it, making it a little more difficult to thread. Will do that in a bit... and use something else? on the juice Dispenser and noalaox on the other threads...

So I got a multimeter out and started trying to set the voltage to a usable level. That initially didn't go so well, in fact I blew my current favorite LR510 atomizer (my last LR :( ) But I had some new 510 atties in 2Ω. The learning curve is somewhat difficult IMO wrt setting the voltage. I practiced it a bunch and finally got it to 4vdc vice the 6.72v it was intially set at. Oh, BTW, I am using two 18350 batts (from the ScrewDriver MkII). All said and done, I put an atomizer on and dripped and all was good. So I put the tank on. Initially, not a good deal, I got dry hits right away, so I dripped some... I believe with that little hole dripping into the lower part where the atomizer connects is slow to move the juice...

I am a little hesitant to pull the JD off, as suspect the lower area will be full of juice? I dunno// OK pulling it now... it is not full of liquid? there is a slight liquid pooling around the base of the JD only. I tried hitting it without firing to see if I could increase the amount of liquid in the collector... Just a little bit now... hmm this is with Dekang RY4, so not any VG thick stuff. The JD is an interesting design. I bet that little hole took a while for Casear to figure out, and it is defintely juice viscosity dependant. Decided to prime it by putting some juice in the collector, then adding the JD onto it. Now it aint starving, but time will tell. Used that up and back to dry hits... Loosened the JD top... oh that allowed liquid down to the collector!!! Now I am flooding! LOL. OK gotta figure this part out so it will work OK. Another learning curve.

Overall, fit and finish is nice. Not sure what kind of aluminum is being used, so time will tell as to pitting etc, but I believe C. has had time to determine if it will pit or not and he mentions some sort of special anodizing. The new LV2 is so light, it's crazy! With the JD and a drip tip, it actually is still shorter then a ProVari with the 18490 batts. The new collector will make for spill free dripping and keep liquid from dripping down to the touch sensor, which was a slight inconvenience with the LV1. The on/off is nice, no more firing when I don't want it to. The voltage settings are very variable, especially with 2x18350 or 16340 batts in there. Havent tried with an 18650 yet. I think it is mandatory to have a multimeter to check the voltage intially, but once you know basically where you are set at and how to change the settings, you are OK. There is a learning curve though IMO.

BTW, check your spring in the tube! mine was off cantor and it is just sitting loose down in the tube.

So everything on my part is positive, weight, fit, finish, turn on/off, auto turnoff, variable voltage, & size. Only two issues are learning how to set the voltages (I don't have a connector setup yet to try the pc hookup, plus will have to dig out a pc - Mac guy here) and getting the JD to work as I know it should. I got the voltage, just trying to learn the JD now. Otherwise, a very, very nice Precious.

PS: Looks like by the time I got done writing this, talking on my cell, and playing with my LV2, the JD is working OK now. Plus that new atty is breaking in and I have a nice RY4 vape.

Thanks for the info Jolly! Can't wait! I gotta figure out 2 of them:p hopefully next week? It's been 7 days today:)

First thing, thanks for the review and congrats on getting it dialed in.

The hookup socket is what interests me. I have a number of cords, but I know I don't have every plug type. I was wondering if anyone had a picture of the socket shape?

(I thought the first guy to get one noted there was no PC connector in his video review...)

Yea, the white "seal" I think is serving two purposes. One is to keep it from leaking, and two is if there is to much air allowed to the resevoir, it will allow the liquid to flow to fast into the collector and flood the atomizer. It's a balancing act. Mine will get starved, so I will loosen the the top to allow air into the tank, take a few no powered hits, then when I start to hear the slightest gurgle, I tighten the top back down, vape until it starts again. Vicious cycle IMO. Almost easier to drip. I am using all Dekang liquids, maybe if I thin them down some. I could make a batch of my DIY to control the viscocity... thinner is probably better here. Still not sure about the JD and its effectiveness...

There isn't. You need to build one. It would require a serial cable and then a connector to allow it to connect to the top cap of the Lv2 (I think you would use and old 510 carger cord for this). If I remmeber, Caesar has a pic of it somewhere on his site, along with the program. I amy build one, just to mess with it, but either need a serial to USB converter or fire up an old PC with a serial connection on it.

I am wondering if it's possible to use a 510 batt charger to USB??? But then, I wonder if I would be killing a very expensive toy.

Edit: OK. Take this all back. http://theprecious.ro/home/the-new-precious-l-and-u/

He was going to include the cable I believe, but I think that has all changed. I know I didn't get a cable. MAybe if we ask nice, we could get a schematic of the cable? I will ask.

Conratz Hoosier. Hope you like it.

It has a stealth mode! The three controls are 1. Red - 1 volt increments 2. Amber - tenth volt increments 3. Green - turns into stealth mode off/on, they call it LED mode. I got mine into stealth mode and can't get it out :)

Edit: nevermind. I keep forgeting how to save my settings. Got it.

Once you get the hang of it, it is pretty slick.

Thanks for the review JR. Your post got me to try mixing up a batch of 90/10 to try my tank out. So far, so good. No leaks. Of course, I'll be paying for this later as PG is pretty nasty to me :)
I was having a bit of trouble getting it to prime too. A page or two back, Chuck posted that Mark said to blow on the mouthpiece a couple of times to prime. That didn't seem to work, but it made me think. If you put pressure into the system, the release of pressure would probably be juice from that little hole. I blew into the top cap, the whole unit basically a couple of times, quick times, and voila. The cup had some juice in it! Vaping like a champ :). We might have our answer...

Oh wow. OK modistru... gonna take into the TV lounge and hang with the wife. I will try that if it starts to get dry burns. Thanks for posting that, I musta missed it.

I am honestly liking this more and more. Changing the voltage on the fly is not hard at all, once you understand how to do it, and remember to SAVE your settings (and know how haha). This is a sweaeet mod.

JR, thank you for letting us know how your Precious is doing. :)Can't wait till mine gets here and will continue reading everyone's input on it until mine arrives. Hopefully by then I will have and idea of what to do and expect so please continue to update us as things move along. Pretty sure you will pick up tips and tricks that will be helpful to others and I will do the same when I get mine.

Modistru, if that "sticker" thing was meant to be a washer of some sort, try and see if you can find a paper thin teflon washer that will fit from your local Home Depot or Lowe's. Don't worry if the outer size is too big as it can be trimmed to replace the old one.

Aloha, Keith

Thanks Keith, Mark suggested using the type of plastic found on the outside of a DVD case. For now, it seems OK going washer free for the past hour, no leaking and a blow/prime every 7 or 9 drags. I'm going to have to figure out how much water/PGA to add to my 10/90 'normal' mix to thin it to work. The past hour has been pure bliss @ 3.7v/1.5 ohm :)
