yeah i have one on the way that I'm dying for......he uses a linear regulator..but these electronics are more advanced...i wanna hook it up to my computer!
I might have to end up doing that...that's okay. The Precious will be the end all for me....
I'd just have him ship it polished then have it powder coated locally in the color of your choice. Beautiful results. I've seen some polished aluminum auto parts that have been powder coated and it's amazing.
what im worried about is the JD. if its not anodized, then it is possible for the aluminum to leach into the juice.

just google "aluminum leaching food" ..
I believe PG and VG are pretty much pH neutral and we're not cooking them or storing them for any period in the JD so while possible, its highly improbable...
Put it in perspective, the health risks from the nic are significantly higher than any potential risk from trace amounts of aluminum leaching into juice in the JD- If it does happen, I doubt it's measurable...
If it bugs you that much, you could always send it out to be anodized or teflon coated much the same way it could be powder coated ....
if i get alzheimers im not gonna be able to hold the precious or press the buttom am I? am i gonna care if i vape or not?
maybe Caesar can upgrade it so it wont be a problem!

I don't think you'll care; my mother died last year after a 12 year slide downward with Alzheimer's. Around the third year she suddenly forgot that she smoked and thus quit without realizing that she had quit. She had been a smoker for over 60 years.
I do care! Why do you think i wouldn't? Thats the point. I think getting alzheimers is a sad thing to the loving ones that arent affected by the desease but to those affected might be a bless... leaving this world careless and having no idea of the nothingness or whatever might be to come.

I ditched all my aluminum surface cooking utensils years ago- It's fair to be conscious about it and i know lots of people that avoid aluminum foil like the plague as well....
That said, if you read some of the articles, the amount transfered in cooking is barely measurable - Aluminum is present in all kinds of foods and food products-and particularly high in over the counter antacids - A single TUMS has perhaps 200 times the amount you'd get from cooking tomato sauce in an aluminum pot.
All metals react with food - including stainless- if you've used steel wool or otherwise scuffed your stainless steel pans you're likely to get trace amounts of nickle in your food.... - think about it- you're basically boiling your juice on a nichrome wire - who knows what happens there?
Let's not kill each other while we wait for Caesar to ship- relax - have a beer and avoid taking just 1 TUMS or Rolaids and you'll have saved yourself from more aluminum than you will ever get in a year from chemical transfer to your juice. That'll give Caesar plenty of time to work out the issues with stainless and we can all go out and buy new JD's or Precious Lv3's ... and before you say you were hoping this is the last mod you'll ever need, we're all on a list for a product that hasn't seen the light of day yet... IMO anyone who thinks this is the last mod they'll ever buy is either kidding themselves or thinking about giving up altogether anyway.
