Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, of course, but ".... ugly"? It simply elongates the Precious' own design, once assembled it looks pretty seamless as if the whole thing is a single piece. Design-wise, that usually ranks near the top of what you should aim for. Certainly beats a VapeMate, the AFS of the GGTS (that thing reminds me of a lightsaber for some reason) and any of the wetbox-like thingies (unless you like boxes, of course).
Dunno, all in all, Caesar could've come up with a lot worse than that. Plus, it "sits" in the one place you'd always have to account for anyway, space-wise -- around the atomizer (like on the GGTS). Could be just me, I like the cone adapter on the eGos and Rivas to kinda mitigate the huge gap in thickness between the battery and the atomizer, and with a non-JD Precious it's even worse. With the JD installed, the only thing sticking out is the cart/drip tip, making it far less unseemly to me.
But hey, to each his own.
I'm assuming you like the design of the Precious itself, since you're getting one..
