Just look at it this way. We played around with filling cartos, dripping and what not so rolling a wick and wraping a wire a few times is not much more hassel as we have done anyway.
I don't know about you, but my carto/atty days were daily, ongoing, never-ending filling the carto, cleaning the carto, changing the carto, dry burning the atty, priming the atty, cleaning the atty after it was flooded...MAN I do NOT miss those days. One coil on a rebuildable will last MONTHS and MONTHS. The ONLY thing I do to my rebuildable is dry burn once every few days, refill the juice and change the batteries.
Let's not forget the money that is saved in the long-run too! Kanthal is dirt cheap and a 12" x 12" sheet of mesh (not for the Strata, of course) will last years @ Approx. $13 because the mesh wicks last months and months too...if you dry burn them and rinse them to keep them clean. The only real expense with a rebuildable is your juice and if you DIY...even THAT is inexpensive. Rebuildable is the only way to go, IMO. The Strata will be even less expensive to own because you don't have to buy the mesh for it.
